What was repaired?I just wanted to say I had to send in my JB for a warranty repair and Memo was great. He responded promptly to my emails and did really nice work in a very reasonable timeframe.View attachment 4310525
Sounds familiar. My SB1 just got a neck replacement for truss rod issues. But G&L managed to make the neck measurements wrong thus preventing me from getting the action I want. They have agreed to allow me to return the bass and be refunded for the purchase.Truss rod issue. All good now.

Yes Memo is great, friendly albeit slow to reply and sometimes you have to email twice to get a reply. And they are great with their warranty policy. But their quality control is poor at best. I had 3 different basses with truss rod issues and a jazz with bad pickups. My jazz is great now but I would never buy another G&L due to the quality issues.
...and a jazz with bad pickups.
They were low output. Sent the bass to g&l and memo replaced them. Took about 3 weeks total to get it back and it's been great since. What were the pickups doing?
My neck replacement took 2 months. Sadly it wasn't done right. It looks great but looks don't matter if it is measured wrongWell, that's good to hear! I sent my MJ-4 to G&L for a neck replacement. Hopefully there won't be too many bumps in the road ahead. Will report back when I know something, could take a while.
Mine took much longer. My neck replacement took 2 months. Sadly it wasn't done right. It looks great but looks don't matter if it is measured wrong
Black pearl might look nice.I def need to lose that tort.
I like the pearl way better up close than in pics.
I might replace the tort with black.
wow that sucks. Im glad I am not the only one with these truss rod issues. I was starting to think i am jinxed with G&L.Mine took much longer.
TR busted. Sent it back in September '19.
Didn't get it back until February '20.
New neck only last 20 minutes, before the TR on the new neck busted.
Had to send it in a second time.
They got it right the second time.
Sorry to hear about your troubles.wow that sucks. Im glad I am not the only one with these truss rod issues. I was starting to think i am jinxed with G&L.
Its not actually called OMG mode. have you ever heard boost mode? Its not all its made out to be. I know people here rave about it, but you really should hear it for yourself before you decide to change your current setupI'm considering having the wiring of my Kiloton changed to Fallout specs. Would OMG mode be drastically different from regular series mode?
thank you Rich. Appreciate it! seems like its only newer ones. Perhaps their choice in Dual Action Rods for newer models. like you said, hopefully they get it resolved.Sorry to hear about your troubles.
I have four G&Ls and no issues with any of them though the newest is from 2014. I hope they get their issues straightened out. It sucks to be that person.
Black pearl might look nice.
