G&L Club Part 7

Five basses left.jpg

Just some old tookays (on the right, '83 and '84). They have the single coil mod (with an additional push-pull on the volume for Outer Coils/Inner Coils). Not that I don't like Dingwall pickups, but I can't help wondering how they would sound with MFDs on them...

Acquired my 2nd G&L yesterday. Tribute Fallout. A bit more mellow than the Kiloton but still pretty dang fierce. I love playing short scales. So much fun.

There's Something so right about that black/tort/rosewood combination!
Congratulations on your new Fallout!
Ergonomically, the only short scale bass I've played that I liked was a Fender Mustang.
I bet I would like playing the Fallout……

yeah, I see it was pulled from G&L's Instagram now. shame... I just got a gold Pickguard on my Kilo. Full gold hardware or even black I think would set it off.

Nice! I like the color combo! Black hardware would be awesome. I have an old SB-1 with the black crinkle bridge and PG. Wish they'd do those again.

I currently own 4 tributes. L-2000, SB-2, LB-100 and JB. I love all of them and I'm amazed by the quality, have yet to try the American versions. But I imagine them being superb. Only downside is the LB-100 and JB are heavy as hell, but they're built like tanks, so I feel like they'd survive the apocalypse. I wanted more mids, so I switched the LB-100 pups to EMG GZRS. Also I wanted to take full advantage of the SB-2 Bridge as well, so I changed the pickups to PJ GZRS as well.

Apologies if this isn't allowed, but is anyone by chance selling a PJ set of MFD pickups?
I just got a Fender Pbass and need to get rid of the anemic stock pickups.
The MFD on my Fallout is amazing, would love some of the fattness in a Precision package!

No, but FYI the p will fit but not the j, totally different size. The Dimarzio model J is a ceramic magnet and the closest J that will fit the Fender.

Pickguard Planet, AFIK that is the only place to get Kilton Pickguards that aren't the white or black options direct from G&L. The guard is plastic. So it's gold on black. I'm guessing it's some sort of bonded foil.

That's where i got the Black pickguard for my Kton.
I did see a gold pickguard option, but I don't remember it having a metallic look.
Would you have the color number from their website?
