I go through periods where I *think* that certain basses just aren't doing anything for me, only to be unexpectedly flabbergasted by the same bass at a different time. Maybe that's why I have so many and can't seem to get rid of anything. It's usually when I've decided to sell it that it comes out of nowhere and surprises me... Hmm.
I am supremely satisfied with the basses I now have. I actually have a lottery system where I wrote down the models of basses on papers and put them in a bag, then I draw one out every time I'm scheduled to play. The ones drawn out go into another bag, so when the first bag is empty, the second is full and ready to start over. It keeps every bass fresh. Do I have too many basses? Of course not! There is no such thing. Have I sold some very fine basses that I miss? Yes. But none of the several I now have are for sale, though for the right offer...no, they're not for sale!
I have a highly modified Tribute LB100, a highly modified Tribute JB-2, a slightly modified Fullerton SB-2, a stock Fullerton Kiloton, an Epiphone Jack Casady signature, a Steinberger Spirit XT-25 in the process of being wildly modified, a 1988 Steinberger XL2, and a 1978 Peavey T-40. Neither Steinberger gets played much...the XL2 has become worth too much to drag around and the cheap little Spirit I have mainly so I can say I have a 5-string, and because it weighs 7 lbs. That's my story & I'm stickin' to it.

i would love one with a lb100 size neck. got my eye on the american standard, it comes with 1 5/8 medium C neck. only one color sunset orange metallic with brazilin fretboard

I would love to own a carbon fiber Steinburger,kick myself for not getting in on one when they were affordable.
I do however own a 1982-3 ? G&L SB-2.I picked it up tonight and my god how good it sounds and plays.I bought this new and the salesman told me about Leo's new company and seeing that this bass was less than 300 bucks new with a case.I told him I'd have one.I played more gigs than I can remember with it and if anything this bass has mellowed with age and I believe it when's said a bass will get better. Do I qualify for membership?

Acquired my 2nd G&L yesterday. Tribute Fallout. A bit more mellow than the Kiloton but still pretty dang fierce. I love playing short scales. So much fun.
