I've been hankering to put flats on my L1K. Might do a separate video on that.
My 80s l2Ks love 760FS's, or - in a different genre and feel, TI flats. I must say the TIs' tones always seem to inspire me more than any other strings... I just wish they offered high tension flatsI've been hankering to put flats on my L1K. Might do a separate video on that.

Interestingly, I just put a set of TI flatwounds on an NS Design WAV4 I recently bought. It's my first experience with the highly touted TIs. I was surprised that they had much more tension than the D'Addario EXL 170s that I removed. They have more tension than the Rotosound Jazz 77s I have on my Tribute JB2, and reviews I've read on those say they are high tension. Both basses are 34" scale, though the NS Design WAV4 is a headless bass. I don't know why that would make a difference, but who knows?I hear ya. If I wanted to pluck a noodle, I'd play a ukulele...;->

Wow so over the past week I started poking around on the verb and here for L2000s, looking for something unique. After checking specs I honed in on the CLF and figured let me look at sweetwater. I hesitated on the last one they had and missed it. Couldn't believe they had another one and even nicer with the flamed neck plus a flame on an okoume body which I've never seen outside of an acoustic guitar.Congratulations! I had that bass in my cart all day. Told my wife if it was still available after little league practice, I was going to grab it. Needless to say, you made her very happy. G&L put a few photos up on Facebook before it hit Sweetwater. That's by far the nicest one I've seen. The body and neck figuring are outstanding. I also like how the back of the body is painted the same as the front. Most have been black or dark enough not to see the grain. Good score!

I actually texted my sales engineer in the morning (which is a dangerous tool) and thought about it all day at work. Pulled the trigger right after work, didn't beat you by much I guess.

The spec sheet shows medium C and 1 5/8 at the nut. That's just fantastic looking! What is the neck profile / width like on that model? I know they have several options between stock, BTO and custom shop.
