Are the pickups on that bass closer to the bridge than the ones on the other bass?
Took my Big Chonks to band rehearsal last night.... HOLY CRAP THIS THING IS A MONSTER. My guitar player said: "That bass has made my low E string useless". It really fills in the mix so nicely and holds down the low end with such command. I found myself having the preamp engaged but no treble boost, pickups in series, and was going between both pickups and the neck pickup depending on the song. What a beast! I used parallel a bit too for certain songs, but series brings the meat. I looove this bass.

I do love that color... G&L seems to do such a great job with picking colors to offer. My Fullerton Red LB-100 looks so nice, I often stare at it (shortly followed by picking it up to play it lol).
It seems to have slowly drifted from 6 to 7 months over the course the year so far. I don't think I've spotted anything worse than that yet.
I'm braced for 8 months for the one ordered in late December, and 9 months for the one ordered start of March. And I'm *really* hoping that those expectations are sufficiently pessimistic!

I know of a TB member approaching 15 months for a CS.
Word was that it's back to 3/4 months now. Nothing official though. I just ordered an LB-100 (non-CS though) and prepared myself to get it around Christmas just in case….
The last I update I got from G&L was 6 months for Option Order / Build To Order and 18 months for Custom Shop.
I did recently have a guitar arrive in about 4 months. That is definitely the exception to the rule so far, though. I'm waiting to see a pattern of that before I get too excited. 6-7 months has been the norm so far all of this year.
** EDIT - I should add that the update I mention in the first line is several months old. I haven't asked them for an update recently just because they've been hitting that 6-7 month timeframe regularly.

Thanks Ricky, Ian, and Greg. I ordered in March, I've been hoping for October. Fingers and eyes crossed for sooner, but we'll see.
I'll bite. I had a mexican fender p, a Fender AVRI 57 P and a US GL LB100 in a fairly short amount of time.
What stood out for me was the lb100 completely articulate fretboard and tight response….it almost sounded like a neckthrough bass. The quality was even better than the 57 P.
Ultimately i traded it for a L1k, but I do think it was the best p bass I've owned.
(Full disclosure, the P bass' well-known tonal character of fitting in the mix is the one thing I don't love about them, so I've never been all that crazy about them.) My L1k is the closest thing I have to a pbass these days.
Agree. Best conventional P bass out there. I would also state the L-1000 is best modern P bass out there as well. Although a case could be made for SB series as well. I just preferred my wunkay
I just ordered two CS L-2000's this week and was told 6-8 months on Custom Shop and 3-4 on Build to Order.
Just picked up this SB-2. Threw a set of Chromes on it. This is my idea of a P Bass.
It's the best I've played, personally. I'm sure that the vintage Fender Ps are amazing. But my LB-100 just feels great to me. I love the neck and how it feels in my hand. The build quality is superb. It sounds amazing too!
