I think the correct inference is that one should always have one more bass on order?I'll drop it in the case with the LB-100 whenever that gets done.
See? This is why you should always order more than one bass at a time.
Week 1 — First order for an SB-1 placed with Rocket Music
Week 18 — Mis-specced bass arrives with Greg, and immediately gets sent back to California
Week 30 — An apology from Memo: "First off we totally apologize for the delay, if I can only tell you how weird the neck replacement has been on your bass you would either laugh or write us off"
Week 31 — Bass again arrives with Greg, who says "The neck is gorgeous, it's about as perfectly quartersawn as you'll ever see. The rays shoot straight out of the fingerboard, perfectly perpendicular." Off it gets sent across the ocean .... and disappears from tracking the moment it lands in the UK
Week 46 — Bass, having nimbly bypassed Her Majesty's Custom and Excise, is spotted by a member of the UK BassChat forum on sale at a price that has "don't ask where this has come from" written all over it
Week 60 — After the most incredible amount of cajoling, the poor pink SB-1 arrives back home with Greg, somehow still in mint condition
Week 66 — After two days on Reverb, the Pinkcision is bought by a grateful lady in Maine
Week 71 — Second order for an SB-1 placed with Greg
Week 98 — Gold SB-1 passes through Greg's hands and carries on its eastward voyage

Thought I'd give my "Week xx" update on my dearest Fullerton Deluxe Fallout Bass as well;
Week 2 — received the bass and noticed the bad fret job 2 days later. Reached out to G&L via Facebook and was told that a replacement neck will be sent all the way from California through my local G&L dealership. They said that I can keep the bass for the time being.
Week 13 — noticed that one of the screw threads was a bit loose and found another manufacturing defect in the cavity. The wood near one of the screw holes are chipped, there is a drill mark on the surface of the cavity as well. Reached out to G&L via Facebook again, and was informed that the local G&L dealership will contact me on the issue.
Week 20 — finally the local G&L dealership contacted me on the second issue, but nothing has been confirmed since.
Week 26 — supposedly this is the ETA of the replacement neck. The sales advisor that was assigned to my case is not the most helpful either.
Week 36 — this is where I'm at currently. Local G&L dealership has been saying that they haven't received any update from G&L on both of my warranty claims.
Looks like 99 weeks is the standard processing time, so I shall wait a bit more
Crappy customer service and QC department aside, the Fallout Bass is the one that I'll be taking to my grave.
That's me praying that my LB-100 will turn out without issues 
I guess most issues could be dealt with a local luthier though, frets issues could be fixed, same with screw issues…. Shouldn't have to happen, but I guess I'm taking the risk to order a bass in the US when living in the UK.

Yup! But I don't want to spend anything more on my brand-new purchases, and to be honest, I didn't know it was this bad... Should have considered buying used locally where I can fully inspect and try before buying, but I am quite sure I am the first owner of the Fallout Bass in my country. I got my first sense of the direction I want to take my SB-1, and swapped around the GHS Boomers for the Roto Bass on my BB. Similar, but the Rotos are a still bit stiffer and more stern. They also have a more limited top.
I also played with the pickup height, especially dropping it away from the E string.
So these two things have focused the tone. It feels like the MFD is giving me more information than I've ever had from a pickup before, across the tonal range, and I'm working out which bits I want and which bits I want to get out of the foreground.
(Meanwhile, the BB was very glad to see another set of GHS Boomers. Its pickup is much weaker, and so appreciates their broader tonal range.)

Re the dry board. My LB100 was the same but get some of Montys Guitars Montypresso on it, leave it for a couple of hours and wipe off. It really brings out the beauty of the rosewood.
Good thing I have a tub of Montypresso at home, if my LB-100's fingerboard needs care it'll be easily sorted.
Well, easily, this thing is a pain to apply and to remove, but it has enhanced the pau ferro fretboard on my Jazz Bass drastically.

We're a forgiving lot, aren't we?
I use the Ernie Ball fretboard conditioning wipes on my LB-100. I bought it new from Sweetwater last Fall and it was dry as a bone. The conditioner really brought out the grain.
Have faith, brother... supposedly, my surname name links to Scottish heritage. I will pray for your bass to arrive, unscathed... both, from the courier and G&L.

Today, despite this, everything was still feeling and sounding too facile. So I uptuned to F Standard for a bit. MUCH better. With that extra slug of tension, I finally got the kind of nervy feel I like, and then some poise returned to my playing. The neck is so easy I've been skating through everything in a jangly mess.
I'm still not enjoying the combination of nickel plating and MFD, and feel I have to go in either a Swing Bass or a Deep Talkin Flats direction. I'm going to choose the latter, and will be fitting a set of the 760FM, 49-109.
Curious to hear your impressions. I'm debating putting flats on my new SB-2T.
There's a brief youtube demo of Chromes on an SB-2 which makes me think they would be a very safe choice. The MFDness seems to take precedence over the flatsness, making a very strong firm tone. I guess DTFs are a bit of a risk, but I can feel the gold and tort goading me.
