I do like the fact that they've thrown an ASAT bass into the mix, too. Probably for the same reason.

But no purpleburst ASAT bass? I mean, everything else is….

I'm afraid not. Maybe they figure the CLF Research L2K/L2500 models will scratch that itch? Those are really different basses, though. Aesthetically, yes, but mainly in the neck profile.

I should also mention that these 2023 Fullerton Deluxe and CLF Resarch basses are supposed to come in a gig bag. The one I received and shipped yesterday came in a hardshell case. I'm not sure what's up with that, maybe they haven't received any gig bags yet? I have yet to see any bass arrive in a gig bag, but I suspect that will change at some point later.

I just ordered the CLF Research L1K in Graphite Metallic and Midnight Blue Metallic. Mainly to be able to offer something under $2K, but I do also genuinely dig those two looks...

Here are a couple examples from the archive section of my old website. It's a dark blue that isn't overly dark, and there is some subtle metallic sparkle in there in the right light. The flake is small, like an Ice Blue Metallic or a Lake Placid Blue Metallic but with a darker blue hue.

Yeah I won't be able to try them.
I have a G&L JB and was thinking of a backup/extra.
It's sorta idle speculation and not really GAS.
Half of me is a "you can only play one at a time" type and I already have too many (for me).

It may have to be Custom Shop, as built to order doesn't do block inlays anymore from what I understand.
Even a CS would be under 5 grand though.

Yeah, I was joking. I'm not getting anything else until I pay off this L2K. Then, maybe a Tribby Kiloton fretless.
