The extra weight of a 5 string headstock would make it neck dive like a mofo unless the body was a boat anchor

White one is 2000, the belair green is 2015. Both quartersawn necks, birdseye board on the 2015.
2001 Fretless that got away. Tried to get it back last year but the buyer gave up fretless and sent it to his brother in Morocco. Wish I'd kept it and had the terrible plastic inserts (that would come loose) replaced with ebony like I did with the 2nd neck that came with the white one. That fretless neck is on my Lynx and love that now I can hardly see the lines.

With a bass as bad-assed as that, I don't see a problem either way…The extra weight of a 5 string headstock would make it neck dive like a mofo unless the body was a boat anchor![]()
Yes , the dealer , G&L , and myself were working out some details with the build so I got a few pics just to see how things were looking .Didn't see that pic on G&L's FB page, did they send it to you? Nice !

I don't remember how I stumbled onto it, probably searching for a Fretless L2500 and this one came up. It was long sold by the time I saw it…
Not an obvious option.I just picked up a used M-2000 Tribute. Are there any upgrades you folks recommend? Its pretty light, so I dont think lightweight tuners are needed. Maybe a passive tone control?
Not an obvious option.
However, on my now-sold M-2500, I put an additional series/single coil/parallel toggle switch (3-position), similar to the mod I made on my L-2500 that initially had a 2-position switch (easy mod).
They don't.Cool. Do you know if that is something G&L sells on their site?
nice Pickguard upgrade on that Fallout.
