Hey who was it that put black Labella tapes on their kiloton?
Was is @woodyng2?

I have black Labella on mine
(or did have until I had an accident with a string winder and a lack of due care and attention.
Currently waiting on LaBella posting me a replacement string*, until then 3/4 of the strings are black).

*must say, great customer service from LaBella! I didn't blame their string or make a warranty claim; just asked them if I could buy a single string (I may have moaned about being 1500km from the nearest shop that stocks their strings) and they are sending me one for the cost of postage.

It wasn't me. I've tried Labella black, white, and copper white tapes on several of my Ricks and other basses,
and really like them, (especially the Copper set), but I've not tried them on any of my GL's. Yet.
I bought a limited series Ukraine set (blue and yellow wraps) with the intention of trying them on my Belair Green wunkay, but that bass has been residing at my sister's house since September 2022. I've been gradually bringing 4 of my 7 basses over to Portugal.

Question for TB hive mind: what's the correct truss rod size for an early 2000s ASAT bass? It's not the same 4mm as on the USA L1K, 2K, 2500 (which is 4mm). It "feels like" 1/8", but perhaps it could also be 3.5mm????

Do you not have a combo set of Metric and SAE hex keys? Try both, find the one that fits best, regardless of claimed size.

I suggest the same thing @Templar wrote. My '07 SB-2 was 1/8", but it was so rounded out I had to put a new truss rod nut on it. That being said, I have to say that I only think mine was 1/8". I bought it used, and a previous owner had messed that up. But at least you might try a 1/8". If it fits good and snug, that's it. If not, try some others...very carefully. No pressure until you find the right fit.
