G&L Club Part 7

I just put a new set of Labella LTF on my '01 JB-2. It's a really great sonic match.
The bass sounded beastly with Pressurewounds, but I think I just prefer the more classic '60s vibe with the LTF.
(This is an old picture, still with the PW's.)

If you are going to use the product please be advised of the following: If there are any cracks, chips and or checking DO NOT spray the polish directly on the finish. Doing so will cause the polish to get under the finish. We do recommend that you spray a small amount onto the polish cloth and polish the finish.

For those that have one of these older models, what are you using to clean or polish it?

To answer my own post above (surprised others haven't chimed in, I would think there be interest here), this ftom G&L:

For the Dunlop 65 polish ...spray some on a cloth and use on the back of the instrument and see what it does. There is also the MusicNomad guitar polish which is safe for nitro finishes....

I could loan you some scratch remover that is probably as old as that bass is. :laugh:

Picked these up for a couple bucks at a store closing sale for a small mom and pop guitar shop. Definitely never going to use them and they stay in a drawer with some other random G&L stuff that I have. Still not entirely sure why I bought them.

Do they only remove old scratches? Or scratches in old guitars? What about scratches in new guitars? New guitars deserve love, too! :rolleyes::meh::wacky:

Hello all! I'm still new to TB, and this is my new (about 2weeks old) ASAT bass in the really cool Andromeda finish.
I really debated with myself about this purchase. I have a Stingray Special w a single pickup that I love. I wanted a double pickup bass and my debate centered around another Stingray or an ASAT. I tried a used G&L at a local store and even though I hadn't tried a Ray I decided I liked it enough to go with an Andromeda I found online.
Anyway, I enjoy it. Not 100% sure I made the "right" choice, but I don't think I made the "wrong" choice either!
If you stuck with me this long, thanks. I'm thinking of putting a set of flat wound strings on this. Why? It's just something I'd like to try. I had a set years ago on an Epiphone Rivoli. Can anyone make any suggestions to me on a good brand to try? I have no recollection of what I used before, but it was definitely was an uneducated purchase.

Beautiful ASAT!!!! I really love the LaBella 760FL's on my L-2000 and would recommend them.
