Who said that a L2000 is an agressive sounding bass????

I have just bought (well, a month ago...) a tribute L2000, and I really can't understand someone could say this is an agressive sound bass. I read comments in that line somewhere, but I have to say that this is a very sweet sounding bass through my hartke 2500 and 4x10XLseries.
Chocolate sound. The bridge pickup is amazing in parallel mode.
Sweet and very defined. Like chocolate.

Guys, question about the MJ5. I know some had issues with humming back last year. Have those issues been resolved? Anyone get one that didn't hum? I love the specs.....I hate hum.

So I spent some quality time with an SB-2 today and I totally get it now.

I wondered how they could make a bass with no tone control but after playing it I realized that you can get loads of tone control by adjusting the volume of the 2 pups. And you lose very little real volume unless you put the below 1/4. Both at 1/2 gives a nice fat tone. What wizardry is this?

(apologies to the SB-2 owners who already know this)

I was going to try to get G&L to make me one with tone control (they'll do that for a dealer if they get minimum 3 orders) but now I don't think I'll do that - seems redundant.

So back to the original quandary - SB-2 or LB-100 (fretlesses).

I have both an LB100 and rather recently an SB1. Man, I love my SB-1. the pickup is unreal. sounds so amazing! and the variety of tones is bonkers. I assume the SB2 would give even more options. But, maybe check out an SB1 if you have the chance. After this, I would go with an SB1 over the LB100. (Having said that, I love and have loved my LB100 for over a dozen years.)

I have a 1990 SB1 and it looks a lot like a LB100. Can some tell me the difference? I've been playing G&Lsince 1986 counting the 3 G&L s I have now I've had 6 but can't tell the difference between your lb and my about

Yes that is what someone else said. Lb is an Anico and the SB I'd a Humbucker.
I no longer have the SB1 I traded it for a Genz Benz Contour and cash to a TB member in Chicago

its just over 9 lbs, has the K mod switch, not sure what neck profile but feels like an SR5. dead mint condition too. birds-eye FB
brand new DR's on it.
I couldn't ask a bass to do more really. I wish I had discovered these a ways back.
I could see myself acquiring more of these.
