Ouch! How in the world did the knobs get knocked that hard to go into the cavity?This thread is making me seriously miss my L2500! She's off having a little TLC after unfortunately having the controls knocked through into the cavity and will come back with a Stingray-esque (albeit larger) control plate so she'll be quite unique! I'll fire up a couple of photos when she's back home.![]()

Instead of saying it's like a MusicMan control plate, you should say it's like an early G&L control plate!
@PaulNichols poor you, glad it will be fixed soon. If ever you have a gig In Bristol and you need emergency back up you can see my two beauties in the pic and happy to lend you so long as you left your cat at home and you don't roger them!!

Cats are responsible for so many misadventures concerning basses. There are too many to mention. Those damn creature must have been guitarists in another lifetime!
