G&L Club Part 7

Anybody else try this mod? It's my second for ol' #1 - a 1997 L2000. Had a Bartolini NTMB installed for several years with passive/active and dual position mid sweep. But as time went I discovered just how suited 2-band EQ is for my styles. Hence a boost-only, 18V Aguilar OBP-1. Wired it with the series/parallel switch and a p/u balance knob. Moves some earth I must say!

On most basses the volume is up full then you tweak the tone. With this setup EQ and master volume work in concert so depending how you boost the EQ, master volume will only need to be increased based on how you adjusted it. Volume on full may knock you over depending.

This question has probably been asked already but I don't feel like leafing thru all 376 thread pages ..lol.. I need a new neck for an early 2000's 6 bolt L 2000.. How do I go about having the Bass renecked by G&L??? Do they do that? The truss rod is maxed out and the truss rod screw is worn out from me cranking on it..

That may be fixable, just take it to a luthier first. This method will be a lot cheaper too.
A new nut / re-threading the rod may fix it.
