Trust me... I had to make my own power supply and I still have it.

On any Fender Bass for me it's become a must. I have one on my Jazz Bass as well.

As far as I'm concerned the FCH Bridge and the Bill Lawrence pickup are major difference makers on both basses.

I really like the idea of the FCH bridge... The badass was better than the OEM, but the Hipshot was much better than it, so that's what I switched to long ago. By the time the Bab really became popular, I'd already moved on to G&L, and so my need for bridges has been light lately.

Yep. The G&L bridges are a major improvement over any stock Fender bridge I've ever had. As much as I've always loved P and Jazz Basses it's also been nice to finally have a G&L and see where Leo would have gone with those models had he not sold Fender.

Since the G&L bridge serves somewhat the same purpose as an FCH Bridge (sans the cam driven saddles) there's no need to replace it. But on the P and Jazz Basses the FCH was a quantum leap forward tonally and I've never been able to get the action as low on any bass I've ever owned as I can with the FCH.

The P and Jazz Bass are both Squier CV models so stock they're solid players and a great value but nothing special. Adding the bridges and pickups now has them hitting way above their weight. I've owned around ten Fender Basses in my lifetime including a '63 PBass, a '66 Jazz Bass, a handful of '70s models and a Deluxe Jazz. From a stand point of both tonality and playability these two are now as good as any I've ever owned.

Thank you!

I went with the standard #12 neck (1 5/8 nut width) and 9.5" radius. I've found over the years that I prefer the p-bass size instead of jazz, as I find the jazz necks get a bit too cramped for me. I still own the Tribby JB-2 for slap stuff, but everything else is the p-bass-ish.
