Got that tone knob dimed on the Violet!
I finally found my BMP fuzz:
Sounds excellent with my L2K!
With the Mids knob to add in the bottom end that so often gets lost with a fuzz, I can crank the tone for some nice tooth gnashing grind but keep the boom in the low end
That knob (and the amazing sound of the pedal itself!) is exactly why I chose the Violet Menace over so many other fuzzes. The Badass Fuzz is for guitar use... it's way too dark for bass. After adding the Scrambler, I think that I might get rid of the Pork Loin. It seems like, no matter what I tweak on it, it sounds like someone has a remote, phantom Tone knob that they keep turning all the way to zero 
It has growl but no bite at all

Yeah I didn't think much of the Pork Loin either. Recently picked a B3K V2 and it has plenty of bite and growl.

I've tried several of the Darkglass pedals & pre-amps but they all seem 'lacking' to me. I'm not sure exactly what it is that's missing but it's just not there, for me
Funny enough the B3K is the only DG pedal that works for me.
She's got it goin on there!!! Those are some serious moves! I always felt like she was 40 for her whole career, but she might be 24 there.
I love the Ampeg Scrambler because it's got a unique voice that to me isn't "heavy". Blends in well with other guitars and is musical in it's own way.
Another good one that is overlooked is the Markbass Distorsore. You can do some wicked stuff with the HPF and LPF filters on that one. It's really ashame that they are such power hungry pedals. Often regulated to studio only usage do to size and power needs.

Especially when your feeding pedals with ECC38's and a very usable pre-amp section. Those bad boys are basically rack mount processors and preamps crammed into floor pedals. I had plans to create a fly rig of only Markbass pedals until they went another direction with the Alain Caron pedal.
Alain Caron pre > MB Distortion > MB Compressor > MB Reverb/Flanger/Chorus > MB Super Synth >MB Super Booster....

Holy cow... I had a Markbass endorsement 10 years ago, so I used all of their pedals on the first pedal boards that I started to produce. The power requirements were terrible... I believe 18v per.
