Hell, my 2 4-string L2K's are an easy 10 pounds. My Pedulla Thunderbolt was an even 8.5lbs. That's a mean feat!

I have a so-called G&L dealer near me. They have one used left-handed L2000 and that's it.
They much prefer a fuller stock of Lakland instruments and, of course, Fenders.
The owner plays bass, so I assume it's some sort of personal preference that I don't get,
especially once he's gone to the trouble of establishing himself as a dealer.

I've been considering getting a M2500 recently, but one of my issues is the dome knobs on it (shallow, yes I know, but I think they look really dumb). Does anyone know where/if you can source flat knurled knobs that would fit the M-series shafts? I was looking at the knobs that G&L sell, but those fit the USA pots, and imagine the diameters of the shafts are different.

Does anyone here know what G&L charges for a new neck?
I just picked up a used LB-100 that was built August 2014 but the truss rod seems to be maxed out and it still has way too much relief. I don't run super low action but this is still way too high for me. Strangely the neck seems to need shimmed as the G saddle is dropped all the way and it's still pretty high. Also it seems to have a bump in the neck at the body joint (haven't got out my fret rocker to check it yet but it's around the 17/18 fret and st).so unless I raise the action at the bridge the A and D buzz badly above the 12 fret. It would be easy to shim the neck and level the upper frets but the neck would still have too much relief. Kind of the perfect storm of neck problems.
Bass is close to new otherwise; it still has the plastic on the pickguard. Other than some light scuffing on the back the only mark I can find is on it is on the headstock, I'm assuming somebody slipped while cranking on the truss rod because it's stupid tight. Fairly light too, I bought one last summer and absolutely loved it but it was close to 10 lbs so I returned it (I have shoulder issues).
When I looked up the G&L warranty it appears to only apply to the original owner. I have 30 days to return it so I can always go that route just hate seeing such nice looking bass in this condition.

Thanks. I'd prefer to get a U.S. neck with matching headstock like it has but that might be an option.

That's probably what will happen. I think I'm going to at least contact G&L before returning it, being the bass is only 5 months old maybe they will do something about it. I hate to return it just to have GC keep passing it around, especially something so relatively new.
A new USA neck is several hundred dollars depending on the options. You must ship the complete instrument to them, wait for them to build a new neck and ship it back to you.

What are the club's thoughts on L1505 vs. L2500? I have a lead on a 1505 for the price of a Tribute L2500, and wasn't sure which one i should go after. I really enjoy having the 2.5K's versatility, and I'd be worried with the one pickup the 1505 would have that many different tones. Basically, if anyone with experience with both could comment on their differences, that would be beautiful. (both basses aren't local, otherwise I would just go try them out for myself and have a nice new bass to show off).
