I bet it sounds killer. I like that the pickups are reversed as well. More even tone across the strings.

I used a router and made acrylic jigs by using a follower bit with a bearing on stock G&L pickup routes.
Neat, I need to practice doing that. Did you use some sort of "pantograph" copying jig? Been eyeing different setups for a while.
My red one I had done by a local shop - they did a nice job. The black one I did myself kind of freehand using a router, drill, & chisels. It was pretty rough work as it was the first time I tried anything like this.

Put some GHS precision flats on it man, TRUST ME! Keep your nickels around for when you wanna go back, its SO versatile when u do that
I was actually considering picking up some of those new EBMM Cobalt Flats. Somebody posted a demo on the EBMM Forum recently, and they sounded very nice indeed...
I'm confused. Are you saying that putting flats on the LB100 will make you want to back to round-wound string because it is more versatile with rounds?
I have a newly-acquired LB100 with flats. So far, I'm loving it though it isn't perfect.
I'm saying if you want old school motown, go flats. If you're in a punk aggressive cut band, go rounds. It just works for so many different projects when you play with strings.

I'm sure G&L would prefer you had two LB-100 basses as well.
I believe the gist is that G&L pickups are particularly sensitive to string choice.
I ended up picking up a used L2500 because I wanted more than one string choice on my M2500
(If you don't think about it too hard it makes sense.)
You got me going there... I just went and dug out an old set of Thomastik-Infeld flats that I had on my old (now departed) Jazz Bass about 15 years ago, and put them on my LB-100... I have a rehearsal tonight... I'll let you know how it goes.

I have a Big Al SSS with rounds baby... so I go with the versatility that way for sure. BUT lets just say I was in a motown \ blues gig. Id have them strung out similar so I have a back up at gigs & if one needed some setup.
And we string songs back to back so we just dont have the time to switch up instruments! Can't lose the dance floor with blank space
Meh. Just another P bass. Won't do anything an SB-1 won't do. Or an SB-2 with Tone added. OTOH, an SB-1 or SB-2 will do things an LB-100 can't.
