This thing is sooo much lighter than my 70s era ash (?) body
Precision fretless...and even though the fretless has an extra
Gibson EB pickup on it too and has a lot of sounds, these active
electronics are just killer by comparison.

Thank you for posting a very accurate accounting other than there were contacts signed and hands shook as well but that's water long over the dam. I had always said from the beginning, I only put it up on my board to begin with to give the G&L bass players a spot where they didn't get lost amongst the guitar players as they tended to be on the Guitars by Leo forum, then I saw that G&L was paying for a paid sponsored forum over here and doing a BABP's Limited edition bass (something I pitched a year prior only to be shot down) and yeah, I got my feathers ruffled and with one swoop of my right index finger deleted the entire forum (and database dooh!) in a moment of anger. I'll admit it, not proud of it and apologize publicly to those Pitters who worked hard to build it like Jim Green and Brad Dell. I actually left it up a year after the deal went south and love the looks of the BABP Limited Edition's!
Now for my one and only G&L that got away, I sometimes weep when I think of having sold this L1K I got from Harry Magalong...this bass rang like a bell and pounded like a jack hammer at the same time asHarry will attest to. Even the current owner has told both Harry & I (as we both tried to buy it back) that it is without a doubt his favorite player out of the 1,200+ basses he owns.
