G&L L2000 vs. Fender Jazz

I have an ASAT and the neck is pure heaven but the lack or a horn makes it unplayable standing up for any long period of time. Anyways, same electronics as the L2000 and yes it does have a ton of tone options, however, the one thing that is a major difference then my jazz bass is a blend or volume/volume knob for each pup. My ASAT has a huge sound, but sometime I would like to get a Jazz "Burp" tone by rolling off the neck pup, but no can do. It always confused me why G&L never added one?? as its a very popular option.

I plan on my next bass being a G&L L2000

I'm gonna do a little thread hijack here sorry XD

Is it really worth the extra $$ to get a US G&L L2000 instead of a L2000 tribby?

I had a Tribute and it had zero issues. Great bass, and not all that heavy, in spite of the comments of some posters here (a friend has an American G&L L2500 that is so heavy I can't play except sitting down, so that may be something to be aware of). I liked my Tribute a lot but an American G&L was way out of my budget.

It's a stone bargain.
