Gallien Krueger Head with Non-GK Cabs????

I've got to jump in on this thread.I just got a GK1001RB-II Monday, traded my RBI/Crown rack for it. I have loved the RBI and had it longer than any of my other gear but was trying to lighten my load some. I've been using the GK with my Dr Bass 310 neo at home this week and it sounds good, I had it dialed in pretty well and it goes good with that cab it seems. Last night I used the GK with my band at practice through my old Avatar B210 with the older Deltas and I'm sold. My Avatar has a Selenium horn and a lower crossover point than the standard B210 and is very clean sounding with just ok low end.

With the GK the low end was much wider and punchier than the RBI/Crown rig and I really dug it with the band. The high end gring was very good too, I didn't think the GK grind worked with tweeters but I liked it with this rig. My RBI rig had a kind of SVT type sound that I loved and I didn't know if the GK would give me what I wanted but to me it just sounds great for rock. To the original poster, that's two more cabs that work well with the GK heads.
