You know what...you're right, I wasn't even thinking about that. My mistake. I was thinking that it didn't bi-amp, so no need to have a quad connector. But it do, lol.

This amp can run at a min 2ohm load....in order to do that though....there's a selector switch to the left of the output jacks that will adjust the amplifier's output to compensate for the load. You can select, 8ohm (left output)+ 4ohm right output. Or 4+4ohm where both jacks accept a 4ohm load. These outputs are parallel, so I would not recommend daisy chaining speakers, unless you calculate your load. instead, just plug both speaker cabs into the corresponding output jack of the unit. tthe way I would use this head, with the 4ohm 2x12 cab, would be to set the head on top the cab, select 4x4ohm and use a short cable to connect the cab and amp.

Using the amp with a single 4 ohm 212, the selector switch should be set for 8 or 4 ohms, not 4+4 ohms.

4+4 ohms is for a 2 ohm total load, which would be 2 x 4 ohm cabinets.

You might want to read the manual so that you give the OP accurate advice.

Yeah I'll just add--It's hard to see in the pic since the switch itself protrudes at a slightly downward angle (which is exacerbated further by the angle of the pic), but I do have it set to "8 or 4 ohms" ready to run this single 4 ohm cab I appreciate your eagle eyes though! I know it's important to have this switch in the right place.

Huh… All three of my Neutrik-ended Speakon cables fit my Legacy 800 just fine. Mine was an early number issue. Either it has NL4 jacks, or NL2 connectors are more common than the tiny percentage suggested above, including all of mine. I'll check and get back.

GK did make some unusual decisions for this amp. For instance, the foot switch is wired in such a way that you can only use a dedicated Legacy unit, not a conventional latching switch. I don't know why. This was not true of the MB series. I can't remember back to my RB's.

Ok, so I'll add to the general confusion. All of my cables are NL4 and all fit my (2019) GK Legacy 800. The jacks are not marked where I can see. Did GK run out of NL4 connectors? I dunno. It's a mystery.

I believe they changed very early in the production.
