I have played all brands all over the US and still love mine the most. Maybe sometime will get a Ric but other than that...
I have also played other FASPB and they don't sound as good as mine so... what more can I say??
I just like to be responsible for my own things. I don't like having other's carry my stuff and have to worry about them not being as careful with it as I would. Playing the Bass "ROCKS"!

Agree that most 4X10s are not too difficult to move around, esp if they have some good wheels. If you travel in a PU or van, most can be pushed right up to the door/tailgate and tilted in. Doing that means you only 'lift' half the weight. I loaded an Ampeg 4X10 HLF (90 lbs) this morning into a van and it was quick and easy. (Steps however can be a different story.) BTW wish I still had my 1966 PB.
Thank you for your help. For now anyway, I will have my 2x10 cab. I can either get another if needed or move up to a 4x10. So far it has handled everything I have put through it. Some guitarist love getting "new" different things often and others prefer to keep what they have and use it up. I tend to be of the latter group. Although am always checking out new guitars and new technology. If ever I find something better, I will have it.
So far the Ric is the only other bass that, if I can find the "right one", I would want. I have a friend that plays a Ovation Bass, he loves it, I prefer mine. Plus it is "SO BIG".
Ampeg is my choice but they aren't the "quality" they used to be either. I hate that many of the companies are having them manufactured in China and such.
I guess I will see how well my setup is going to hold up being on the road 12 months a year. Link Removed
