The boost being more potent isn't surprising as Tech over on the GK forums said there was more gain in the boost control on the MB2-500 than other GK heads.

The bit about it having more low-end IS surprising. Initial reports made it sound a little lean in the low-end compared to other GK heads.

So I got the same music stand that mrfish got when I opened my Music123 box. I called them and they emailed me a prepaid return label and they say they will ship the MB2 as soon as I call them with the tracking number showing that the return is on the way back to them. Let's hope.

My package was delivered from Music 123 and I really hope it isn't a damn stand. :mad::eyebrow:

haha, yea. the situation with the music stand is kind of a mess so i wont get my amp till monday :crying: so i really wish you luck.

i did get to play the amp at guitar center today, and i can say that it's totally worth the wait. im really an upright player, but from what i heard in the store, there's a ton of tones you can dial in esp with the contour knob, which is totally cool.
it was kinda weird though, they had the new GK amp with the Markbass stuff even though they have a GK section. they had the MB2 hooked up to on of those classic markbass cabs (not sure which), sounded great, and could get really really loud :bassist::bassist::bassist:

cant wait for mine:hyper:

edit: btw, the sparkles really arent that noticeable....

Same here. The guy said it would go 2nd day air. Dropping that mofo off in the morning and watching that number to pop up.

There's a comparison on the previous page. Similar to the LMII/Shuttle differences, with the MB2 having more true low end, more headroom, more volume (but of course, the punchier, gritter GK tone versus the more transparent LMII tone). That sounds very positive to me!
