Double Bass Gallien-Krueger MB200

Just curious, but why would you want a head with delay, then? Or do you want to be able to leave the pedal(s) at home for some gigs?

Good question...haha. I guess one can't have enough delays. Yes could be nice for some gigs to leave the H9 at home. Also I could use a different effect on the H9 and use the delay of the Clarus. You can only have one algo at the time on the H9. It could be worth the extra money if the effects on the Clarus are really good and useful.

Fair enough!

I'm surprised to hear this. I thought those cabinets needed a lot more power behind them.

Yeah, you'd think that, wouldn't you? So did I, but not so! I get loads of power (and it's a loud band) with the volume never past noon, actually more often about 10-11 o'clock. Signal chain is a Fishman Full Circle into an Fdeck HP2, then into a SansAmp Para Driver DI, and into the input of the MB200 and the Fearless F112. Very loud, very warm. With that big band, I also play a couple of funky arrangements on EBG, straight into the GK with plenty of power for that situation. I have used the MB200 for some classic rock rehearsals. There, it's powerful enough into a single 8 ohm cab, but outstripped by my old 400RB which has the same nominal power ratings but more oomph in real life.

[Oh, my main rig is two of those cabs, an Eden preamp and a Crest Pro-Lite 2.0 which has *oodles* of power.]
