Right on. I got my bass fitted today with the Fishman Full Circle - soooo nice. I look fwd to rehearsing and gigging with it once my new GK gear arrives. Along the tuner conversation, I also picked up from my luthier man an Intelli IMT-500 chromatic tuner that clips onto the bridge. So that, and tuning the A to the piano with a group, and my EB to a little Chromatic Boss tuner - the stomp one I think I'll get - and I should be good. If only everyone was born with perfect pitch....
Good move with the vibration tuner , i have one and it works fine, you can also clip it to the scroll area and it works also. I also tune with my bow using harmonics in the same way you would the EB. Also i just brought a GK- MB150S used for around $370 this is a sweet sounding amp.I read the guys talking about the MB150E ,but for the price it's a deal.

IMHO you made a great choice. With my bass, pickup combination the mid range EQ voicing of the MBS's pre amp sounds better. It's similar to the older 200MB series I and II. As I recall GK released the MBS after the MBE was already well into production to address just that issue. That's why I like the MB2 500. I would think that the MBS is a sweet deal now with the MB2 hitting the market at around the same price point of the MBS and MBE.

+1. There are a few of us here that prefer the sound of the GK MB150S over the MB150E. (There's no best of course. It's just personal preference.)
Yes , i'm happy with this amp, and will add the 112 cabinet to it. I like it matchie-matchie.
I use a older Fishman BP-100 (about 8yrs old) with a Fishman Model B Transducer on my
Kay C-1. Here's the problem.. I think the BP-100 has seen it's day, it shorts out on me from time to time. I tried changing cords and resetting the pickup works for a while then it's out again. Changed the batteries on the transducer and played without it, still a problem. Is there a repair for the pickup or should i just get the "Full Circle" to replace it.

I've been messing with the amp setup I use for a while now. Generally I use the GK for smaller stuff and my AI Clarus/EA Wizzy 12 M-Line for bigger stuff. The AI/EA rig doesn't quite get the sound I want but it is pretty good and friggin loud for a small and light package. I finally ordered the MBX112. I'd been borrowing one or using other extension cabs for a while. Awesome. Sounds just like the little combo (which I love) only much louder.
I think all the other stuff is going up on the auction block.
I got the pickup working again, still i will replace it with the full circle. Man i'm telling you

John B. Williams sold me on this amp also. I did demos of David Gage's "Czeh-Ease" bass in New York and just at Namm in Cali, these are great basses. Check them out.

Do anyone know if its possible to run a AMT-microphone into a GK amp?
I am not so good, as you all seems to be, regarding to electronik stuff. I thought it was ok to run the AMT in a normal amp. But it is not. My intension is to use the AMT and mix it with a piezo pick-up in order to achive the right sound that I am looking for.
Any ideas?

It's certainly possible to use an AMT mic with a GK amp. However, since most GK amps only have one channel, you will need a blender of some kind to combine a mic and a piezo pickup. The DTAR Solstice is one example of such a blender.

To build on what robgrow said, and offer some encouragement, I've used a D-TAR Solstice to blend a pickup and an AMT into a one-channel amp from Euphonic Audio. I am not sure how the GK will sound, but yes it's definitely possible to do it w/ a 2-channel blender / mixer like the Solstice.
Which preamp do you have for your AMT? Does it have an XLR output only, or is it the Super with two XLR outputs and one 1/4" output? If it is just the regular preamp, you could try running just the AMT into your amp if you get an adapter or the right kind of cable. Checking out how the AMT sounds as a first step would be cheaper than looking for a 2-channel blender.

Maybe a little off topic, but I've noticed with my MB-150E that the input clips at a lower level than I'd expected. Yesterday, I played my American Standard with RSII pickup into the combo at a moderate volume and the open E distorted with a loud attack...is that common for this amp or should I have it checked? I've noticed the same happening with a higher gain electric bass, too.
Nope. Mine does the same if I have the input gain past 10 o'clock or so. Just back that sucker off and make up the volume with the master.
