GAS - YAMAHA RBX375

interesting, this was not my experience.
while i was looking to buy a 5 i tried many a brand and this was amoung the nicer B's that i came across within it's price range (and was a lot tighter and nicer than some much more expensive warwicks B strings).

What gauge have you used for your B? Can't tell about the ones I've played on those basses, but I'm sure they are no thicker than .130.

not a problem!

i didn't have mine for very long and the strings were just what came on them from the shop, but i remember being told it had been string in-store with D'Addarios. I can't imagine the B would have been hugely thicker. :S

This is a pretty good bass. It actually replaced a better bass in Yamaha's line up. I own the RBX 775 which was the highest in the RBX line minus the John Mayoung signature.
I really really like my 775. I found out from Yamaha that it was being discontinued after only three years due to costs. This is why the 375 was born it was less expensive. I have played a few of the 375 and they are nice. I do not like them as much as my 775 and I will say that my 775 feels alot different and sounds alot different. But all for all these are pretty good basses. I would say go for it. Or try to find a used 775 I have seen them from time to time at a hugely cut priced.
