"Dude, that guy over there looks pretty gay. Let's go get Greco-Roman on his ... !"
"Yeah! And if for some reason he's not, let's get Greco-Roman on each other!"
"Yeah! Yeah! AwrIIIGGHT! We're so STRAIGHT!!!"

I play in an 80's tribute band that covers pop/dance hits.
Yeah, I agree, I never understood it either. In fact, and I'm totally being serious here, I also find that the actual act of seeking a gay dude out and beating him is kind weird in a semi-homoerotic kind of way. These dudes are essentially willing to roll around on the ground and scrap with him because he likes to roll around and have sex with guys? No compute.
I hate gay-bashing macho-alpha-hetero-males! So my friends and I seek them out and when we find 'em, we ignore the living HELL out of them!
It's so gratifying!
i fully agree! just like the dopes who mosh at concerts...they're using the mosh pit as an excuse to rub up against other guys with their shirts off.Its because thats as close as a 'macho-alpha-hetero-male' can get to a gay guy without appearing gay. Essentially, since the 'macho-alpha-hetero-male' struck out and cant be rolling around in bed with a chick, he'd just as soon roll around on the floor with a guy. I presume these are also the same guys one could find on the CL personals soliciting gay guys with 'I'm straight and have never done anything with a guy, but Im curious' and meeting up with other 'macho-alpha-hetero-males' at bath houses & gloryholes.

I never understood gay bashing. I mean if you are a testosterone over driven male that is looking to score a female, why would you direct the time for negative energy towards the only group of guys in the room who are absolutely NO COMPETITION.
A tip, if you are a single guy, make friends with gay males, trust me they always know lots of women, and those women will dig you for being open minded. HEHEHEHE.
But seriously, if you are a drunk guy, and you couldn't score that night so you harrass someone for no reason, well that reminds me of the kid who teases the girl in grade school that he likes to get her attention. In other words you are displaying major signs of latent homosexuality by "gay bashing"
Now to bring this back to the music related question of this thread:
<sarcasm> I hate the way gay people play scales, I just can't stand the gay modes they use. </sarcasm>
Any questions?
Ken
feels good, doesn't it? and hey, if you happen to rub a certain part of theirs against your face or vice versa, it's all good. some of those emo boys almost look like girls...close enough!Nothing more fun than bouncing off the tall fat guy in the middle of the pit to launch my now wrecking ball like body into a small helpless pathetic group of emo squirts.

of course you are, joe! of course you are! this guy does a variation of what you do, only he calls it "sweatin' to the oldies":
Music is like the great equalizer. My band mates and I have vastly different political/social views. However, it all seems to be a non-issue due to our ties in the band. They still frown upon me being armed at practice, but we are alone in warehouse space. While the facility is gated, it doesn't hurt to be prepared.
Now I just here to watch Joe try to tell us how he's not like Richard Simmons.

To each his own I guess.depends on how many broken bones or missing teeth you come out of there with. personally, the last thing i want when i'm watching music is to have some sweaty kid slamming into me, and i sure wouldn't want to have to pay the doctor's bills that could come out of a mosh pit. but if you and your friends want t...no, i'm sorry...i must be honest...i think it's asinine no matter how you slice it.
