Different stages is Jazz or Wal then I think its his best live tone, imo. I believe most of it is Jazz but Im not sure...
What I am sure of is that he is more 'ratty' sounding (his words) than ever. While I understand his logic behind this (that it knits the band together better), I think for DS it was less so (overdriven). Check out his 'Driven' solo... not so ratty but tight! I am guessing- as mentioned- that his current Sansamp use is the main reason. I am a big Sansamp user myself- just easy on the drive

Snakes & Arrows and both that and the
R30 live records- but my point is that although Geddy may like that 'ratty' overdriven sound- he should give himself a little more credit for his more
pure bass tone because it really sounds great to me... let Alex worry about the rattiness
