Hopefully I’ll be able to grab one eventually.

Not at all, from the time I spent with one today. My quick test suggested that the YYZ is not limited to Geddy type tones.
... Im waiting on a paradriver v2, which should get into geddy territory but, it will be modded ro remove the mid scoop.
Thank God! I was certainly hoping so that it could do more.My quick test suggested that the YYZ is not limited to Geddy type tones.
There is no inherent mid scoop in the Para Driver DI. It was designed to be a multi-purpose preamp/DI that would work well with various instruments. The speaker emulation will accentuate some low and high end but the sweepable semi-parametric EQ as well as the Blend control will enable you to find tune the mids as desired. Unlike the Bass Driver DI, the midrange in the Para Driver DI is "before" the SansAmp section.
Seeing @johnk_10 stating this has got me climbing off the fence now... I must have one for certain nowmine just arrived and after spending just a few minutes with it i can tell that i love it.
what i've found that it's extremely easy to dial in the sound that you want (it's very intuitive), unlike some pedals that are kinda difficult to find the sweetspot, or are very touchy as far as knob settings. i find it very natural sounding, and capable of a lot of different tones, with or without grit.Seeing @johnk_10 stating this has got me climbing off the fence now... Thanks again JohnK...this is exactly what I needed to know and wanted to hear. Maybe one day we’ll see a JohnK version? I guarantee it’d be a hit.what i've found that it's extremely easy to dial in the sound that you want (it's very intuitive), unlike some pedals that are kinda difficult to find the sweetspot, or are very touchy as far as knob settings. i find it very natural sounding, and capable of a lot of different tones, with or without grit.
That’s pretty much spot on with my first impression of it too. Capable of so much more than just the Geddy sound (although I dialed that in quite easily too).what i've found that it's extremely easy to dial in the sound that you want (it's very intuitive), unlike some pedals that are kinda difficult to find the sweetspot, or are very touchy as far as knob settings. i find it very natural sounding, and capable of a lot of different tones, with or without grit.
