Geddy Lee Sansamp Pedal!

Great demo, clear explanations and great playing. Well done :bassist:
(But please take the plastic off your pickguard and pickups - Leaving it on makes it look like you've just robbed the bass from a shop! - you haven't have you?:hyper:)
Thanks! Haha i got the bass like that for another demo and didn’t want to take off the plastic because I have to ship it back :D

Anyone tried it with a tweetered cab? does it cut off enough hi-end above 4k for it too not sound too buzzy? Also I guess this pedal sounds really good directly into a DI box like geddy uses the preamp(no cab mic) I just ordered my pedal today and cannot wait ! :D

I take everything I said back about not running this with an active bass. Low and behold I managed to stumble across a Geddy/Flea Wal tone with the YYZ in front of my Mesa Subway Plus preamp and my Modulus Quantum 5. Now that's a sound that I'd use all the time. Actually, what it caused is a huge amount of GAS for a Wal bass, or to rip out the Bartolini NTMB preamp in the Q5 and replace it with an ACG. The YYZ really tames down and punches up my Q5, which is hard to do at the same time because it's VERY bright.

My settings were -

Master: 2:30
Low: Noon
High: 1:00
Drive: 9:00
Deep/Drive: Between 11:00 and 1:00, depending on what I wanted more of.
Mid: 2:30
Tight: Engaged

Does anyone not have their tight switch in?

Even the suggested Geddy setting in the manual has it switched in, and I can't get a decent sound out of it with the tight switched off! Although I can imagine it being better suited to a lower output bass than my BB1025X.

Yeah, I have settled into using it with it off pretty much all the time. I can get a sound close with it on, but prefer off. Either way you have to make fairly substantial adjustments if you are trying for a similar tone on/off.
