GENZ BENZ Focus Cabs - New and Lightweight

Have a Focus 4x10 on its way - should be a nice pairing with my new-to-me Streamliner 900 and Music Men.

I haven't owned a 4x10 in years - should be a nice change of pace from the 12's and 15's I've been using.

Shoot - my Focus 410 showed up today but nobody was home to sign for it. Since we're away tomorrow, I won't be able to put it through its paces until Monday when I get home from work. Talk about a long weekend!

I played an outdoor show with the Focus 410 last week, and was very happy with it. First, I haven't used a 410 in years... I've been a diehard 212 or 112 stack guy for a long time. But the 410 was cool - it was punchy and fast, with great depth that maintained it's shape. Pushed it with a Shuttlemax 9.2 and it totally killed - this rig could cover anything I need to do. And at the end of the gig.... 64 lbs seemed very manageable to me.

I think TWO Focus 410s would be the bomb.

Ed, if you don't mind, I see on your website that you have Uber 410. As far as overall volume is concerned would you say the Uber is inherently louder?

I just got a Shuttlemax 12.2 that I run thru two 4 ohm Avatar Neo B210's and for some of my louder rock gigs I'm having to crank it a bit more than I thought I would (compared to my old Demeter pre, Crown Marco Tech rig). I'm second guessing myself and thinking I should have gone with the 9.2 and maybe sell my Avatars off and go with 1 Uber or maybe even two Focus 410's.

For people only running 2 8ohm cabs the max9.2 power wise could be a better choice at 8 and 4 ohms. However ... don't be afraid of your knobs... an extra click or 3 is no big deal...especially if you are getting the tone you want. When I run dual Uber210's off my max12.0 I run one on each side and the 750 watts gets it done beautifully
