Well, the kind folks at GB came through with the 2.0 ohm conversion as well as alleviating the chassie rattle...

Been using the Ne0 with an Aggie Db 112 at church and am very pleased...thinking about selling the Thunderfunk/Accugroove set up...maybe not...

I saw your PM. Since you have a 4 ohm, why don't you let us bring it in, do the upgrade and check out the rattle.

All at no-charge...we'll cover shipping both ways...turn around...two weeks.

With the 100's and 100's of these in the market, the amount of rattle issues we've heard can't really be described as a phenomena...that implies it is a "known" or on-going situation. If that were the case, we could point to a systemic issue and tell you what it was and how to fix it. Frankly, I haven't heard of this as an issue until now.

Please see my PM ....maybe we can diagnose. Either way, we can service this very quickly and get you the uprgrade.

And THAT is why I'm a GB convert for life. Try something like that with a company like Ampeg and see how far you get!

I have both; I use both
2 different amps, 2 different sounds. (One's an Ampeg, the other's a Genz-Benz, can ya believe it??!) 2 different applications, mostly depending on which one I want to use-along with my Mesa, Trace, or v4BH.

Now do you understand??!!!

Hey guys... lately I've been getting what can only be described as a 'sizzle' when my tube overdrive is activated on my Neo Pak. By that I mean, that every time the overdrive is engaged (and the red light comes on indicating as such) I hear a very distinct 'sizzle.' Does this mean the tube needs replacing? Or is this a sign of a bigger problem. Sorry if this question sounds naive, but I've never had this happen in other hybrid amps. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, all this talk about running the Neo-Pak at 2 ohms makes me wonder why? You can push a 4 ohm 212 which is plenty loud for most medium gigs. You could push a 4 ohm 410 which would be even louder. You could push two 8 ohm whatever's, and it would be plenty loud. If you're pushing 2 ohms with anything, you're probably talking about two big 4 ohm cabinets, 212's or 410's. Why would you want to use a light weight head for that?

For single cab work, the Neo-Pak is great! In fact, for someone who needs a modulur setup, I'd think a Neo-Pak and two NeoX-112T's would be awesome! Take one cab or two cabs depending on the gig. I can't imagine a PA covered gig that this setup wouldn't handle, barring the ridiculous of course. Should be more than enough for any club-type project.
