Genz Benz - Official Streamliner Amp Thread -NEW !!

Sorry if this HAS been asked before, I've looked thru MOST of this thread.....

IF it IS Class D- anyone know if it'll do Euro or more specifically AUSTRALIAN 240V?????

Most of the Class D either have a switch between 110/120-230/240 or as the RH450 (IIRC) adjust themselves.

Coz you know darn well, if it's a SRP of $1200US it'll be darn near $2400AUS here :-(

you're covered. We even anticipate the huge spikes that can occur in Northern Australia.

I'm curious about the "oomph". So I gather the aim is the to be the "oomphiest" amp around.

The power section is that of the 9.0. Certainly, that's an "oomphy" amp. But how can this one be "oomphier?"

Voicing? New oomph gizmo?

there is an oomph gizmo. "3dPM" ......"Dynamic Power Management". It's a "discreet doo-hicky" (sorry to be technical). I don't want to go into it too much until the official launch. Patent applied for too.:hiding:

Anyone here have some info on the Genz Benz 115T-UB 1x15 w/ HF cab? I love my NeoX212T, but could use some xtra bottom for certain venues and gigs. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Do they come with casters? I must say, I am really bummed that they only appear to come in an 8 ohm configuration, as I would use this as a stand alone cab with my Shuttlemax 6.0. Sidenote: I am eagerly awaiting reviews on the Streamliner after its release and am trying as hard as I can to resist putting a deposit down on one...chance I will cave...90% ime :)

The GB 115T-UB is only available in 8ohms. It does not have casters. Rubber feet. It is the same width and depth as all Uber cabs and only 4 inches shorter at 23in in height. It is a 500 watt cab so, your ShuttleMAX 6.0 will pump 375 watts into it.

You wont be able to run both cabs with your SM 6.0 since your Neox212 is 4 ohm. But, if you added either the GB 210T-UB or the new GB 1288T-UQ that would be a nice mid size rig at 600 watts!!

Of course, you could get the Streamliner 900 and kick that 115T nicely!!! Or, move up to the ShuttleMAX 12.0 and put 600 watts into the NEOX212T and 375 into the 115T. Lots of great options for you with Genz Benz!!

Ah HA!!!!!!

So THAT'S it, uh? It has a doo-hicky!!!!

I knew it had to be something like that. There is simply no other way to achieve that level of oomph. I remember reading an article in Popular Science in 2005 about the idea of possibly developing a doo-hicky, but the scientists and engineers who were interviewed at that time said that it was purely a pipe dream and that such technology is decades away.

So I guess the future is here.
