Genz Benz repair

I haven't seen any request either, though we generally send schematics out to service centers only but we can provide you with the information you need. Note that we have gotten some very odd requests for schematics (in some cases for products that were not even ours) in the past couple of weeks so there may be some spambots out there.

Let me know what the exact problem is with your amp, it may be something so simple a schematic isn't needed. I designed it, I can fix it.

I am a licensed/certified tech from Ct looking for schematic for GBE 400. Can you help. B+ fuses blown, one side.

Mosfet Circuit seems very similar to Ampeg. Suspect one or more outputs. Reading short from Sources to Drains but I need to check for possible low resistance paths I may be reading before I start removing or desoldering Mosfets. Thank You

Whoa, if you are seeing MOS FETs in the amp and it looks like Ampeg circuit then you are not looking at a GBE-400.

PM me with the name of your shop and I will look into this when I get into the shop on Monday.

  1. I cant actually see the number on what looks like a mosfet. It could be a power transistor. If so then it wouldn't be similar to Ampeg. Hard to tell without the schematic unless i start reverse engineering which is to time consuming. I do most of my work refurbishing thru ebay and word of mouth and out of my home by "woodbury electronics" ampeg and gk have authorized me to buy parts thru them by providing them a copy of my state license. I am tech of 37 years and do this part time more for the enjoyment than for the monetary benefit. My ebay user id is "musicmonkey807". New to talkbass because of time constraints. Not sure what "pm" means. Very green on talkbass. Thank you, mike

PM means Personal message. .You can do so by clicking on the users name.. . agedhorse.. then click Start Conversation
