Genz Benz Shuttle Max 12.0

Ya I realize the rear patch, I just would have liked it built in my 1 footswitch for less patching like it is on my GBE600s F/S. If the F/S was not included and sold seperately (like on my GBE 600s), then I could see the validity of a seperate 1/4 A/B patch, however less patching and less cords on the stage floor is my theory. I appreciate the hardwired F/S, I just wished it had a MUTE toggle included in 1 piece.

For folks that use a pedal board, many tuners, AB switches etc, the mute switch is not necessary as the function is already duplicated.

I was considering a GBE750 because I liked the tone - a lot. But if I can get more or less the same tone and shave off 25 or so pounds, that's a major consideration. 2 ohm operation is not a concern for me and I see that as the major plus between the Shuttle 12.0 and the GBE750.

Has anyone played both the SM 12.0 and GBE750 and can comment on the tonal similarities/differences? I'm assuming they're at least in the same ballpark.

with everything set at 12:00, the GBE750 is a tad brighter with a little more low freq. roll off.

I played a loud rock gig last night with my SM12.0 with a 210 and 410 combo and I did realize some low end diff from my GBE600 rig, but it was not enough to be concerned about, I just boosted the bass a bit and it corrected. It's hard at times to change gear when you are so used to the way your sound is for so long. The SM12.0 is a real workhorse and at the end of the 4 hour gig I put my hand on the back and sides of the amp an it was like I never turned it on...room temp. My 600s used to get pretty hot.
