Yes it is! That has been my frustration with some amps. I can appreciate an amp having a "sound", but it's ridiculous when basses with very different electronics sound too similar. I don't want the amp's sound/tone to overpower the instrument's sound/tone.

If I buy it in the US and bring it back myself it will cost $1000. It's still worth it, I think. I bet it will be at least $1500 in Denmark.

Don't worry about a deal. Pay full list if you have to. You won't regret it. I played another gig (jazz jam basically) with mine tonight with a pretty loud drummer and a loud guitar player and keys. I had a little PA support (1 1x12 2-way on a stick) but mostly the combo did the work.

One again everyone - including myself - was amazed at the amount and quality of sound coming from this little box. I play a 5 string and don't shy away from the low B at all. I swear I could feel it thumping me.

JD at Corner Music in Nashville will sell you one for about 20% off list, and he's great to deal with. You may find someone cheaper, though. I saw something in one of the threads, maybe the Shuttle 6.0 one, someone saying his local store was selling the Shuttle 6.0 for more like 30% off list. Might be worth a search.

And I'll echo the sentiment that this is a great little combo!

Another great gig with the Shuttle combo. This was on upright with my main band, Scotch Hollow. Noisy room, crappy pa and nearly nonexistant monitors. Last time we played there I made the mistake of running the bass through the PA, and I was very distorted through the speakers, which are - get this - about 6 or 8 studio monitors mounted high on the walls. Soooo ... tonight I just used the 3.0-10t combo on its own. As I was dialing in my eq, the sound guy (who is pretty good actually, in spite of the crappy pa!) turned toward me and said "That sounds great man!" Carried the room with no problem, and we could all hear me very well on stage also. And even with the upright, I still had a one-trip load in and out. :D

I love this combo!

I don't know what the balance is, or anything else about how things were recorded or mixed down. (edit: just found out that it was a house mic about midway through the crowd; the signal from the board was too hot and wasn't used) The two tunes are Reconsider Baby and Hoochie Coochie Man. Listening back, it appears that I forgot how to play the blues in a couple of spots, but oh well ...

Hay,
Just got same rig as yours.
The 3.0T-10 with extension cab is the bomb.
This little rig, just blows me away.
Rig sounds great with fretless.
Will be playing it at a gig Sat. with my fretless P-bass.

I'm sure you'll have fun doing this! I just did the same thing with my UL 410 II and two UL 112 II's, except I was comparing the Shuttle to an LMII.

So far, I'm really impressed with the tonal variability I get with various combinations of the Shuttle's input gain, volume and master settings. My freshly-Plek'd BN5 has never sounded better. The tone I'm getting with it seems more similar to my Epi 902C than to the LMII.

The LMII is a good-sounding amp, but sort of sterile by comparison (I was going to say "dry," but I think that's a better GK description). I still like this amp pretty well for my Lull's, but I suspect I can get this spic-and-span sound out of the Shuttle if I work at it a bit (probably by just lowering the input gain and volume and bringing up the master). But I'm sure I can't get the Shuttle's sound out of the LMII.

I'm going to spend some time this weekend with my other basses and various amp/speaker combinations. I also want to try driving the LMII's power amp section with the Shuttle's DI (or effects loop send). Those two amps powering all my Epi cabinets might be a great "big rig!"
