Genz Benz ShuttleMax. What cabs are you driving with it?

ah, the good wife...

I was in the process of selling off the rack and cabs then this arrived. :)

My wife knew I was eyeing one and she took it upon herself to order it and give me a suprise. Now I have a pretty big amount for 1 or 2 new/used cabs (about $1,700). Only criteria is not too heavy (under 80lbs).

So what are you using with your GB ShuttleMax?

This will be fun.

I have not done this, but I can't stop thinking about the Shuttle Max 12 powering two of the new 4ohm Schroeder 115L+'s. I'm just guessing, but that might be one of the most killing small 'super rigs' ever.

This thread isn't helping with my GAS fo rone of these. My Shuttle 3.0-10T i sall the amp I really NEED but the 2-channel option is very cool. There's one in town that I could have a great deal on. I thought it was overkill, but if you guys are using one with a 1x12, maybe I could, too.

With your 1x10 Shuttle cab being 8ohm, you'd be pumping 375 watts and using only one side of the amp. Overkill? maybe but it will work. It could be handy if you pick up another cab down the road (if needed).

Or, just get a ShuttleMax 6.0

If the 2 channels would be overkill, you could always go with the MAX 6.0. All of the same features of the MAX 12 except only 1 power section - sounds like that might be a better for for you.

I bought the Genz Benz 212T NEOX, 50lbs with roll back wheels. This an absolutely amazing rig when in combination with the 12.0. I eventually will buy a second one, but I am having doubts about truly needing it. Easily fits in the back seat of my Ford Taurus with room for a passenger. The reason I went with 12.0 instead of the 6.0 is the ability to drive a second cabinet. I love this rig.
