ALL the Max amps have a 'mute' footswitch 'option'. I call it an 'option' because you have to buy a single latch pedal (ANYTHING will do it I think) and there you go, the mute works.

You sir are correct. I never noticed that... I'll have to check into that but if I'm right you're saying this for $12

Will work that mute for the amp & Pre EQ DI? Now we are getting somewhere!

It should work, check the Max manuals online, I assume it mutes the DI as well :)

Im on the fence at the moment because Im always a 'latest and greatest' kinda guy, but the 9.0 prices in the UK are currently cheaper than the secondhand prices, haha, so I might just get one and be done with amps for a while. Whilst I love the idea of a Max, I don't need all the bells and whistles, (although Id LIKE them!).

Hmmm.

I had a Shuttlemax 12.0, bought it used & sold it for a profit that went towards a cab \ Streamliner. At the time I had an Eden Navigator but I just didn't play it being attached to a 40 lb poweramp. I just sold the Navigator & a few other things so I'm down an amp & I have my sights on the Shuttlemax.

The Streamliner is nice, but its not versatile & not my go to amp for most of what I like to play, Shuttlemax gets the nod with my best cabs... Epifanis. Those cabs really make that amp sing & have a little warmth. The Streamliner is better with my GK NEO cabs (my portable rig)

I'm just dying to use my Epifanis again with the Shuttlemax

TC 750 vs Genz? I'll take Genz everyday of the week over them, reliability, quality. The TC750 is a nice unit though but no shuttlemax 12.0. A little underpowered for 2 bigger cabs, no semiparametrics mids which makes the Shuttlemax series so awesome.

I think the four bands of EQ's on the TC 750 are indeed all semi-para.
Plus, onboard memory for three user defined tonal profile.

Theres something about TC, I dunno, gut feeling. I won't touch em. Plus I need the opposite of my Streamliner, very hi-fi which I believe the Shuttlemax would fit better right?

SM 12.0 on ebay for very cheap $739 new. Tempting. I'm still going to wait though, I just have to see the 12.2 before I jump personally.

The GK tone was pretty close to what I was looking for, just needed some more versatility, watts, footswitch mute & a 2nd channel that had EQ vs just grit.

I just read the manual... thats freakin awesome! I'll totally use that.

Looking forward to some upgrades to the amp & waiting for a sale or two. I can't think of another amp with this many watts, this many features, a FET channel, this much EQ.

I really think its the king of amps. Is it the warmest amp out there? No... but with the Streamliner & Shuttlemax I feel Genz has a ton of tonal ground covered.

Yes. the single latch switch solution works perfectly on MAX heads...

Im seriously thinking of getting a 9.2 for next years travel gigs... The SemiPara EQ will help with some of the weird Back line cabs i may run into at times... ...

Kirk you are always welcomed to come over and test drive my 9.2 a bit more to get familiar with it...bring your cabs if you want!

Thank you Gerry...
I really thing a 9.2 would be a nice addition for me.
It was good to see you the other night.. you sounded good. Turn it UP! darn Gits are way too loud... ... shake that place!:)

That store is actually about 50 miles from me....I go in there all the time and I have never once seen a Shuttlemax of any kind in there...in fact, the only Genz rig in the store is a little Shuttle 3 Combo...weird. They must be holding out on me ;)

I asked them for shipping information and they said they are having it drop shipped directly from Gens Benz... Hopefully I'll have it by my weekend church gig....

They are listed as an online dealer by Genz Benz, so it appears that all is good.

THanks,

Mike

Yup, I have been using a single latch pedal for the mute. Works perfectly for instrument changes and as a kill switch.

Yes, it does! With zero bleeding!
See the pic below. You can see the latch pedal between the basses!
