Genz Benz Streamliner, Part 10

It worked really well, and sounded great in the headphones.

I used my phone into the aux in and played along with some songs.

I usually practice or work on songs with an amp, and a laptop into a little mixer/ speaker set up.

I actually really liked the headphone practice experience. Kind of gets you in the moment and makes you focus. Might become a regular thing for me.

The Streamliner delivers again!

Posted this on the weekend thread but figured it would be nice to revive this thread again. The office and office supplies.

Another shot.

Awesome stuff! Streamliner + PBass = Greatness.

I actually did a bit of off the cuff recording with a friend yesterday, and thought folks here might enjoy the results. The intent was to play with the gain and tone controls on the Streamliner to get a few different flavours of rock and roll. We took the DI from my SL 900 straight into his interface. All EQing was done with the SL's controls, no EQing or processing afterwards.

My playing is far from perfect, as we were just trying to have fun and find some cool tones, so please bear that in mind, lol. Everything was recorded with my Fender Player PBass, volume and tone maxed (for consistency's sake).

This makes me miss my SL900...hindsight being 20/20 and this being 2020, I can see me having to get one back in my life again soon.

I don't think I've ever been happier with gear than I am with my SL at the moment. The way my P sounds through it is nearly perfect (to my ears).

I hope you're able to find one without to much trouble. It's a killer amp.

There is a 900 in the classifieds right now. For a moment, I thought, maybe I should just buy a second Streamliner and have two - rather than having two different amps.

With the used prices, the Streamliner is one of the best values in Bass amps out there.

Got around to trying my ST900 our with my Avatar B212 Neo.
As usual, this cab still sounds amazing with whatever head I put through it. I think I will gig it at our next show.

I'm very curious about how these pair up. Been keeping an eye out for relatively affordable cabs that don't weigh too much. Avatar has caught my eye, but I don't know if it will be too bass forward to pair nicely with my SL. I imagine with the crossover and mid driver it could be plenty focused for pairing with the SL. Keep us updated on how they sound together. :bassist:

Honestly, the Avatar cab is my most used cab, and oldest, it has never let me down and it sounds good with whatever amp I run through it. I don’t have any concerns running the STL900 head through it at a gig as I am certain I can get a good tone out of it.
