Just FYI, my 900 was delivered from YOMS yesterday, and it did not require a signature. I found the lovely little package by my front door. (And I found my two newly ordered Avatar Neo 210's at my side door, and my new strings from Juststrings.com in the mailbox. Talk about a good day!!!)

Don't you love days like that. I'm ecstatic when I get a direct box delivered let alone a amp, speakers and strings.

I know, it was "the Perfect Storm". Although I'm embarassed to say that I was caught without the Speakon cables. I went to two local stores the day before yesterday and neither had speakon-to-speakon cables. I hope GC has them. I'm heading there this morning. Staring at the head and cabs and not being able to play through them is killing me!!!

I got home this evening after five weeks of travel and FINALLY got to unbox my month old SL900. Like butter!

I've started my much anticipated A/B of my LDS 12/6 and Thunderchild 12 with the SL900 (I preferred my Thunderchild when I did this with my Shuttle 9). I'll hold off on details until I've had more time to compare, plus it's late and I haven't let loose yet. So far it is very, very interesting :hiding:

Cool! I look forward on your take on this. I just love it with my Thunderchild, but every bone in my body says this will be an amazing head for the 12/6 and 15/6 boxes. I actually had an early dinner with Don from LDS yesterday, and he said he was nearing completion on a 15/6, so I might get to try that out as a 'test' prior to shipping to the customer.:bassist:

Well, it went from on vehicle for delivery, to "attempt made, business closed."
Which is all very odd, since I'm not a business, and I was at home.

Called fedex, and it's fedex ground, and not fedex home delivery.
They won't even let me go by the hub and pickup.
Boo.

Bummer... must have the wrong address in their system. That happens sometimes. Make sure to check that address with them.

Ken,

Your bones are right on. I'll provide an in depth review later, as I still have some testing to do with other basses, but my LDS cab never sounded better!

When Don heard the Streamliner, he REALLY liked it, and is actually considering buying a 600 for his shop as his primary 'test head', since he is all about 'clean tube tone'. He loves my TecAmp Puma, which has at least a bit of that 'sweet' tone also (big, warm low end and a 'sweet' sort of non aggressive top end), but the Streamliner has replaced the TecAmp as his favorite small amp at this point.

Yeah, when I hear that low end of the Streamliner, it seems to sit just perfectly in the performance range of those 3012LF and 3015LF drivers, and there is enough top end to really open up the mid drivers nicely in the lower treble region. The power at 8ohms is a good thing to for those cabs, which can use it.

Nice! I'll watch for you post on this.

Wow! That bites big time.

Sorry to hear that, dude.

Keep in mind, signature would be required if a declaration of value was provided at the time the shipment was processed. I'd assume YOMS is simply saving a few bucks by not insuring the package. I suppose if it were to be lost/damaged at some point in transit, he have to self insure it - meaning if you push hard enough, he'd replace it out of his pocket.

Good that you received it!

Yep, all points I agree with. My 4ohm TB153 is so thick with this head. I particularly like how powerful my D,G strings sound. And it is a thickness that is so controlled and non boomy. For my music style it just sits perfectly in the mix. There does not, to my ear, seem to be any holes or spikes in the frequency response with this combination, just a perfectly even maybe "flat" across the range (all dials 12). I like that, but maybe those used to rigs with a more "voice" to them will have to find their sound - which with such great and simple controls is not hard to achieve.

The Streamliner fits in the GigSkinz bag quite nicely. It is nicely made as well. It is worth the wait, so to speak. You will love it!

I found mine in stock at [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] for $59.00US shipped, no tax. This appeared to be $10.00 less than the going street price. It was shipped via UPS Ground the same day (I ordered late in the afternoon too) and received it within 3 days! Furthermore, I opted to pay via PayPal to help protect my 411, so they picked up any associated fees to boot! It looks like they are now out of stock. It may be worth a call.

Music123 has them in stock with Free Ground shipping: Link Removed

In person, the dragon pattern on the fabric is quite subtle. The inside is well padded, very soft, and component friendly.

I got my GigSkinz Small Mixer bag for the SL 900 from the same source ... and the bag was delivered within 24 hours (with NO shipping charge) -- before I even got my order confirmation and shipping confirmation from Rock & Soul Sound!

I've been using an older design of the Gigskinz bag for years. No sign of wear at all. Wonderfully made and well padded.

Congrats SoonerMatt and Mooch. Still waiting on my SL-900 from YOMS after upgrading from my original order of an SL 600. Have e-mailed YOMS and left voice message for a tracking number (amp was supposed to ship on Tues) but still no call back :hmm:

Mine shipped on Wednesday. He didn't call me with a tracking # either. I waited till the end of the day and called him. I'll bet yours shipped out then also. Mine is due Tuesday in Colorado.
