Thanks...I wish I could have made up a better story, but I would have had to kill the witness. :hiding:

Ouch, Hope you get to fewlling better. Broken ribs suck. I got me some broken ribs once squared off in fron of a 275 pound Brown Belt. It was more like fighting a Gorilla. :D

I believe IIRC the Baxandall EQ was used on one model of B-15 and an Orange 120 Head. Thats all I can think of.

So I know most of the people here are either P or J bass guys, but I took my Big Al single humbucker to practice tonight and ran it through the Streamliner for the first time. It really seemed like a good match...the Musicman tone that's in my head. Need to try it some more with my SSS one, but its hard to pass up how great everything sounded with the single humbucker.

I bet. I've never cared for running the single MM pup solo'ed on my 55-02, but the SL900 makes it work.

Same here, my 55-02D with Barts stays home alot since I lean now more to my '08 Am St P5 / Skyline JoBo 5 and modded MTD KZ5. I sorta like my 55-02 w/ my F1 but has to be with a 410 cab. Again with the VT pedal here...never tried it with my 55-02, wonder what that'll do with my current amps.

So I've placed a couple micro heads on local craigslist, they go soon and I'm gonna start hunting for me one o' dem Streamliner 9-hunertz. :bassist:

I agree. I still can't convince you that the input volume needs to be at 3 o'clock.;)

Remember that talking about input gain levels really doesn't translate across users, and is totally dependent on the output level of the instrument, and the technique (hard versus soft) of the users.

Vastly different gain/input ratios could be seen as virtually identical by the amp across players and instruments

^ exactly. When I was with Trace Elliot, we came out with our Studio 80/30 guitar amps. I was working/demoing it for a very well known guitarist for a very well known rock band. He played it and commented: "this is the best sounding amp I ever played". He then asked: "are they EL34's or 6L6's?". I said neither......tube pre with a SS output.

He quickly handed me back the guitar and said: "I don't want it". He had been playing this thing for well over an hour, waxing poetically about it....then, stone cold.
