The NEW-style Gigskinz bag definitely does allow storage and transporting the Streamliner amp with the control knobs facing up. I just double-checked this a while ago.
Where did you order your case from? And did it come with the shoulder strap, or even just the attachment points? None of the ones I've found online seem to have that. Thanks

Just got my SL900 delivered yesterday. Does anyone else have a slight "scratchiness" when adjusting the volume at the lowest levels? I can only hear when the bass playing, not when there is no signal. I also notice it when going back forth around the noon position on the mid sweep.
Rick, I got the case from Adorama and the strap @ the link below for about $14 bucks. The strap is very well made, padded. The anchors come with the strap and you drill holes into the case to attach them - also very well made. About a 5-10 min project and you're good to go. These guys were great to deal with:

I believe that is a "feature" of class D amps. I've heard "scratching" (ie some noise) when twisting some knobs and a signal present on RH450, LMTube, and MB Fusion heads. With no signal, no scratch.

I use a spare Pelican case from my Apple 15" macbook pro for my Shuttle 6.0. I could used better padding and may get one of these for my new Streamliner 600

I have a few of these briefcase-style boxes from AudioPyle, in different sizes and colors, that I use for mics and PA gear; different colors make it easy to assure I'm grabbing the right case without reading labels, and makes it obvious if someone tries to walk off with one.
They're well made, durable, and affordable. Pick & pluck foam makes it easy to customize the interior and provides good protection.

Had a fun afternoon with my buddy TBer Matrok checking out the RH450, Streamliner900 and the VT pedal with my Nord P and his Reverend PJ.
He is more of a rocker than I am, and has a lot of knowledge regarding dialing in a good, grindy bass tone in a more aggressive rock setting.
First, the Streamliner set reasonably clean continues to make me smile, and it made Matt smile quite a bit also... fat, nice and bright up top if you want it to be, and that pleasant tube driven 'crunch' that sounds so good. As with my other comparisons, the RH450 was more mid punchy and tighter, and not quite as open up top.
I now see why the VT pedal gets all the raves it does. When you really push the input gain of the Streamliner, it does grind pretty nicely, all the way up to pretty heavy distortion, but it darkens quite a bit, and gets a bit woofy. That VT pedal (we used the Markbass F500 as the power source, and it was a HAMMER) does a much better job IMO of very precisely dialing in just the right amount of overdrive while still keeping the low end full and the top end crisp. Again, not my thing, but for those who really want the grind, that pedal through a nice relatively transparent head like the LMIII or F500 is really something (I can now totally understand how that combination has become a TB 'classic').
Amazing how many different flavors of overdrive there are, and how that VT can replicate so many classic tones, from all out Back Sabbath grind to the John Wetton thing to the Chris Squire thing, and everything in between. I'm extremely impressed, and the ability to sent that tone right to the board must be a dream come true for guys looking for those types of tones (while still allowing you to use the amp EQ for your backline without impacting the signal to the board).
The Streamliner900 just continues to make me giddy for its ability to really mimic a high quality, somewhat modern all tube tone like the SA200 (again, the only all tube amp that sounded good to me personally for my tone goals), and stay very constant at all volume levels. For an all tube tone with just a touch of 'hair' when pushed, and a big, wide, open, all tube sound, it is really something. For those guys who enjoy and SVT pushed, not so much... the VT gets that thing much better IMO.

More later, but I did have a chance to do a short gig last night with the SL900 and also a bit of basement auditioning prior to that. More gigs this weekend, too.
So far, it makes me happy. I definitely would be dropping the bass control most of the time to at least 10-11:00, and boosting either 600 or even the 2.5K, but I was able to get a few nice tones out of it. I pushed it into the 3DPM and really enjoyed the effect. I still wish I had a mid setting around the 1K mark, but as others have posted, you can still kinda' get there with some creative use of the EQ. The cabs I was using was a pair of AE210's and a pair of the newer GK Neo112-II's. The basses were 60's-ish J's. A Valenti and my AC LG5.
So far, it makes me happy.
