WOULD YOU BELIEVE MORE IF WE TYPED IN ALL CAPS AND BIG FONT? HOW ABOUT IF WE HAD THE GODFATHER OF AMP DESIGN INVOLVED IN THE PROJECT?!? YOU JUST WAIT AND SEE!!!!!!! :hiding:
Great concept, great engineers, a company with a solid track record of designing and delivering the goods. Odds are pretty strong...and if not, us early adopters will flip them at a loss on TB. Nothing new here :p

Well said; made me laugh; I hope it's a killer but we can all get super hyped up like a kid in a candy store based solely on some marketing specs and a photo

And now back to your previously scheduled thread hi-jack regarding the SVT; it was good enough for the hardest working man in show business; nuff said!
(and that wasn't really PCP that fueled the huge blowout that turned into a multi-state car chase; it was that the backline company was going to supply an Acoustic)

In a day or a couple, I'll have sold my 6.0, and then will have to decide.
Shuttle or Streamliner 9.0?
Am I willing to risk a couple extra Benjamins on the unknown?
The large font all caps on the last page is swaying me...
but mostly, what is driving me over the edge is the possibility of more WHOMP!

Yes, you could WHOMP where no man has WHOMPED before.

Boldly go...:hiding:

Not cause I know which would be better for you. I just don't wanna buy it, and could hear you play it! I already have the shuttlemax 12 and shuttle 9.0.
I personally think this a diabolically executed plan by them Genz Bums to strip me of my disposable income releasing gotta have latest greatest next thing stuff! Why didn't they put two tubes in the 9.0!
So I buy one a these and in April there will be a StreamlinerMax offering. It's like the CIA plot to introduce crack.....and and.... what was the question?

Jason opened up a can of whomp ass! :ninja:

"At a funk gig with a more modern bass, the big Ampeg rig lacks whomp completely to me. It doesn't punch or kick, and there's little note clarity, even when run fairly clean."

I guess it could depend on what kind of funk. The SVT certainly works in the context of The Meters and The New Mastersounds. Both George Porter Jr. and Pete Shand use the SVT. It certainly sounds good in that context with a P Bass.

Both times I saw Mr. Porter Jr. He had an SVT 4, pretty sure when I see him in a couple a weeks he'll still have an SVT 4, and EBS pedals. Love the Pearl St. Alstars! And The Meters as well.
