Be sure that Moog device's volume control(s) are up sufficiently high as they will reduce the volume from +4.

One thing to be aware of (general comment), if you are using a balanced TRS output from any balanced device, you will need to unbalance it BEFORE going into the aux in. Since the input is summing, it will try to sum the inverted signal with the non-inverted signal and all that will come through is common mode garbage which will be very low and sound terrible.

I've done all of the above, but still way too quiet. If I plug the Moog straight into my QSC PLX2402 I have the same issue. This tells me the Moog's output is not really +4 dBu but something much less. :atoz: Guess it's time to look for a preamp for the Moog.

Yes, quite possibly the real problem. The Streamliner has similar sensitivity to the PLX.

Double-check that there's no hidden or software based volume controls in a mixer module or an I/O module that may be turned down. This is not uncommon of such devices as this. I am not familiar with this specific piece.

Well, a tube went south (the position one tube) in my Streamliner last night - developed a bit of a buzz.
Called Genz Benz and got predictably stellar service - Jeff Genzler on the phone suggesting that it was a tube problem. I had gotten a few tubes so that I'd have replacements on hand anyway - but GB is sending a replacement tube.

Anyway, I took the opportunity to try one of RedPlanet's tube rolling suggestions and put in a long-plate 12au7. Sounds beautiful, though much lower gain. That's OK, though. I like the sound and anticipate no problems with having enough volume - and if it turns out I do, I'll put a new 12ax7 in there instead.

Thanks to the great folks at GB.

Cool. A low gain tube in V1 of the Streamliner is a gorgeous thing. It's no good for dirty tones but I rarely play dirty.

Good to see someone use a little common sense. A trait so rare these days.

Yeah you can't beat Genz Benz for Johnny on the spot service. I play my Genz gear with confidence knowing Jeff is back there somewhere for me when I need him. Thats a good feeling. :)

For the record, I love my SL600 but can't say much for the quality of the GB gig bags (my shuttle gig bag exploded!)...

The Gator G-MIX-B 1212 is a perfect fit, with insane build quality, to the tune of $34.95 MSRP...

Have been very happy pairing my SL600 with an Aguliar DB112/DB112NT stack. A Shuttle 6.0 through the same cabs was just not quite "right."

I've read alot on these threads, and it seems that some people have problems cutting through the mix. I also see alot of Fender types being played through Streamliner. Maybe the Warwick sound could help cut through even more?

I am playing a Dolphin 4 with Circle K SS/nickel alloy strings and I have zero problem cutting through at virtually any setting I try. Also have a Corvette Fretless. Again, no problem cutting through. My Dingwall is also very bright and growly. Love my basses through this amp.

Be careful when ordering those World Tour gig bags from AMS. I did that last week, and they sent me the wrong product. They have about 20 different World Tour gig bags listed on their website as "Gig Bag, assorted sizes," and apparently their parts pickers can't tell the difference. And they all look just about the same. I've been hassling with AMS for over a week trying to get them to understand that the bag they sent me is wrong. They keep trying to say I just don't understand that they sent me the RIGHT bag! Twice I've gotten RMA numbers, with promises that they'll send me out the right bag in the meantime, only to have one of their flunkies call me to advise they think I'm mistaken, and that they sent the correct product. They're making me speak ONLY with the ONE person in their entire organization who they say can help me, and he is only available during hours that I have to work. So much for their "best return policy in the industry." Not sure how to remedy this, but buyer beware!

The post above mentions putting an AU7 in the V1 pos. You say 'no good for dirty tones' I'm interested on trying this, but before I go pulling things apart, do u know if a 12AU7 will give you ANY dirt? Even with the gain pushed?

I mainly use pretty clean tones, but sometimes like to have it just on the verge-where if I dig in, a little crunch, play softer, it cleans up.

This will depend on the output level of the bass, how it's set up and how hard you play.

I love 12AU7's or better yet 5814A's but you will not get any dirt with that tube in there. Using those is for the clean at heart. :)
