I just know there is a 12-3 owner who wants to trade it for two Avatar cabinets (2x12 & 2x10)!! I just know it!!

I was filling in on bass for one of the big churches in our area and they have their own setup and the Pastor really doesn’t like anyone to Bring their own gear. After playing through the house rig I decided to bring mine in the next service. Band members loved it so much saying it’s the first time they’ve been able to clearly hear every note the bass done. Pastor stopped as I was packing it out and said we want you to order a system like that for us. I gladly did and have since become their bass player full time lol. I ordered them a 350 Genzler stack with an additional 10-2 cabinet. I’m not used to Pastors and churches buying anything I need but it sure feels good.

been experimenting more with high gain settings on the drive channel now that i've spent time to tweak the eq around so it fits with the drive. Digging it because it doesn't mess up the low end like a lot of pedal drives. I was finding that high gain was giving me too much high end buzziness so i switched over to the vintage contour, and yeah thats it. High gain + vintage contour is where its at.
The church I work at is already a MEGELLAN 800 convert. Now I’m trying to get them to replace their Ampeg 610.
My church went with the Fender Rumble 500C!!

No, I’m not saying that at all! What it’s not is a Genzler!
The church has decided on getting it and the order is in, so I don’t know what my playing through it experience is going to be, but once you’ve gone Genzler, everything else is...... well, different.

I have a little Fender Rumble 60 combo that is in my office for practice. Sounds better than going through my computer speakers.
Almost everytime I practice I have thoughts of getting the mg350 combo. 'Nuff said.

I should tell them that my non-Fender basses don't sound good through Fender amps/cabinets and that they also need to order the Fender American Elite Jazz V to get the best possible sound for the service.

The MG350 combo is the bee's knees... and for a lot more than just a practice amp...
had I purchased it first, I doubt I would have purchased the 800 head and BA12-3 cab...

Turn all tone knobs down but the Bass up then use it for a few weeks, then bring back the Genzler and they will say, "Wow, such clarity.
You will also go to heck for pulling a move like this so you need to ask yourself, Is it worth it?

HAHAHA! Well, since I don't believe in a place called 'heck', I can do this and not worry!
Besides, it's such a great plan! I can say, 'The devil made me do it!', or more accurately, 'It was S-Bigbottom idea'!!
Or.... You can turn everything to 11 take your five string hit the lowest note you can as hard as you can,
blow the speaker and go oops! dang you need a new setup... hopefully you don't hurt any stained glass windows

My angelic ways are being tempted by all of the less than angelic advice! I could end up in 'heck' or worse...... Blessed to play for the next 100 years, but damned to play only through Fender rigs!!!!

I need your help with deciding between the 350combo plus eventually and additional 10-2 vs 800 with 12-3.
Have read almost every page in this thread and even though the subject has been discussed I’m having trouble picking.
I live in Sweden and won’t be able to try it out by my self unfortunately. Though I’m almost already in love with the Genz-gear just be reading
I play UB and an old 60s Kay EB.
Mainly pop and jazz groups in smaller to medium venues (80-300 people)
So as an electric bass player I want the sound to really fill the whole space. The pop groups I play in is kind of energetic bands with much energy and volume.
As an UB I want a natural sound but still be able to put it out there (play with gut strings)
And then there is the thing with carrying the stuff. Would love be able to go by public transport to smaller gigs though not at the expense of volume/sound.
To clarify:
How manageable is the 800/12-3 carrying?
How is the 800/12-3 handling double bass vs the 350 combo?
Would the 350 plus two 10-2 be a little to weak in some of the gigs?
