3 seems like overkill to me. I know it looks cool and all, but I can't imagine a gig that would require more than a pair. At that point shouldn't FOH support come into play? I had 1 and an 800 before I went to the combo and it was loud.
Nice pic! I agree that practically 2 BA12-3 cabs have plenty of ooomph. But that 3-stack just looks wow! And you make a good point about being closer to ears and inspiring.You guys are being way too practical- do you need 300+ hp in your car/truck? Do you need a 4k tv? 15 year whisk(e)y? Boutique basses? No, but they sure are nice to have...
The thing I like best about the 3 stack is it’s up closer to ear level, and the punch in the chest you get from it. It’s very inspiring. But to each their own...
