'Almost'! I still think the BA212-3 Slant would have been a better option, but what do I know. I'm just a lowender, dwelling in the low musical spectrum.
I would love a bass array as a combined vertical cabinet either tens or twelves (350:vs
I would love to see something like that in a vertical stack. 4 ohms for max power in one cab and an array of eight vertical cone tweets. Do it for the twelve and ten and not have to stack cabs. Of course, how many variants can be supported and this rig is achieved simply by stacking two cabs.....

I'm contemplating getting a third BA-10. I'm wondering if this will cause any instabilities having three slant cabs?
OBTW the "wrong note filter" is already built in to equipment...that's why gear weighs more at the end of the night. All those bum notes get caught in the gear and the mistakes weigh a lot. That's why everything seems heavier during the load-out.

That slant would be perfect for a lot of my gigs. I have three (Yes, count-em: Three!) 10-2's that I can use, or not use, depending on the situation. BUT, I've used the whole 3 x 10-2 stack maybe 2-3 times. It's too much! I do smaller gigs where two is more than enough. Or even the bigger/outdoor festival stuff I do in the summer months requires only two 10-2's. Those cabs are just that good. AND, I often use my 2 x 10-2 stack tilted back to me like a monitor on my bigger gigs.
A 10-2 slant would be great. @Jeff Genzler, will it come in a 4 ohm version?

I had a coupla those little BF cabs. Not to be a buzzcrumch, but I dig my Genzler 10-2's much more. Just sayin's'all.

I've stacked 3 10-2's. It IS pretty "slanty", but works just fine. Sounds hee-yuge.
As far as your theory of the WNF (Wrong Note Filter)? That makes sense. And that's why I have to go really really light at the beginning of the night!
My theory of the WNF is that passages that are not played with feeling or a great pocket are also included. So that makes my rig like lead weights after three one hour sets.

But I actually came here to say I used my MG800 and one 10-2 on a cocktail hour at the incoming Ohio Gov's residence this past week with my upright. It sounded great. To cut the boom of the URB in such a small space (We were set up in a living room. Grand piano, sax and bass.) I used Contour B alllllll the way clockwise and still cut some bottom end. Then had to add a decent amount of Treble to get some string attack and cut through.
You can see how I angled the cab pretty much straight up to my big square head if you look behind my right hip.
Honestly, I'm a pretty mediocre URB player. At best. But the MG800/10-2 combo sounds very clean and organic. Very woody and tight at the same time. For URB a variable HPF would be great. But the Contour B kinda does the same thing for the bottom end.

I have a Magellan 800 on loan and have spent about an hour with it.

Where did you set the contour? I keep my eq settings flat and dial in the contour to taste. I tend to use the "A" contour around 11am for my Jazz and around 9am for my PJ. I'm playing Sadowsky's and just dial in a little bass when needed.

I used to play thru 410s & 810s but prefer the punch and tonal frequencies from 12s these days. I realize different strokes for different folks....truth be said, I’ve not tried Jeff’s new 10” lineup...but 10s are just not my thing for right now either. No doubt though they’re stellar just as his other cabs.
I’m generally a 9PM contour guy, regardless of the bass or gig.
edit: with the exception of the rare gig I play my DB thru it, which means "all bets are off", I always need to tweak when playing the DB, contours, eq, everything.

With my Jazz I like just a little more contour. But I am finding I have been turning down just a bit.
Its one of the joys of the Genzler MG800. Very easy to use. The only time I to work the dials is with a couple of boomy rooms. I posted my issues here and Jeff Genzler jumped in with some suggestions. We took it off line to discuss further and boy did he help! He provided some really good advice, was very generous with his time, and enforced why I love his gear. So now I can walk into any room any size and know I can have my bass sounding awesome and deal with anything sound wise pretty quickly. Again I ever hardly touch the EQ. Just keep it flat for the most part.
I’ve been running everything neutral except a slight bump in low mids and a 9pm setting on the modern contour. Lovin’ it!
Disclaimer- I am using a B7K in front as an always on preamp, but still.

Plus, a smaller amp will only go so loud. You can always turn down a higher wattage amp. I’m not saying I do. But in theory it can be done.

After using my old API mic pre into a power amp with ZERO EQ. .Just getting gain from the API into a Crown amp. The API 512 and Crown Macro Tech 1200 are about as FLAT and WIDE as you can get..
I realized that almost ALL commercial amps have a BUILT IN MID Scoop of some sort.
I find the genzler to be closer to real world FLAT when set flat.. I have not run it on a spectrum analyzer to verify that ..
The CONTOUR "A" cleans that up real fast. I almost always use a slight amount of contour A unless i am in a Boomy room . Then i will try contour B.

I picked mine up as a convenient backup for my all tube SVT IIPro. Tubes go down? MG800. Inconvenient load in? MG800. Etc.
That said, I haven’t actually carted my SVT out since I’ve gotten the Magellan. I picked it up as a compromise, but it’s not a compromise at all.
