Make sure your DI is set on Mic, that is a much lesser hot signal than Line Level.

Yeah I gave our SB tech the choice and he went with line setting...he said that is what they go with for all pads, effects boxes etc...so it’s on him.

All this TalkBoot palaver has inflicted me with a Zappa earworm. Specifically:

"Y'know, my python boot is too tight
I couldn't get it off last night
A week went by, an' now it's July
I finally got it off
An' my girl-friend cry

*** Note: I have no personal experience with anyone in this thread's feet (and let's keep it that way) so this is not social commentary about any individual. :D

Ok, folks, gots a question for the learned amongst us. Lemme set the stage...

Running a Mesa Subway+ preamp into a Straight Ahead Mini Power Amp. The SAMP is 500w@4 Ohms.

Friday night, in the middle of our 3rd set(we play 4/45's), I start hearing what sounds like a blown speaker in my BA410. I'm mucho concerned. I change basses for a block of songs, the sound goes away. I change back to the previous bass, still sounds ok until the last song, then it sounds like a blown speaker again! Sound guy was listening and tells me he thinks it's the bottom left driver. I get through the night with that sound coming and going. I've got plenty of cabs, so I benched the BA410 Saturday night. Finally got a chance to open it up tonight. Hoping for a loose wire, this is what I found...1st off, this cab is REALLY well-built! Even taking it apart felt solid. I don't know if this will help-

It's pretty hard to see what's going on, but the connection seems to be more frayed on that wire than any of the others. I did inspect the other 3 drivers, and none of them seemed as bad as this one. Could that have been my issue and is there a fix? I think my cab is still under warranty, but if I can fix it on my own, I'll do that.

Any insight is much appreciated! Thanks!

Try unplugging the array and see if it stops making the noise. I had a couple of my array drivers die on me and Jeff sent me a couple of new ones.

One reason I continue to use Jeff's products. I've only needed anything from him once really, when I needed a handle for my Shuttle 3.0 -10T Combo. Received it in the mail FOC in a few days. I had a little noise issue once and he called me on a Saturday morning. How's that for service.

The only other amps/cabs I've considered are Bergantino and I'm sure Jim is great as well, but until I need something that Genzler can't do, I'm good.

You guys are killin' me with all of these nice lookin' boots!:banghead: I will say, all of them are very nicely shinned and well cared for. Going to go sulk in my closet now with all of my lace up shoes:(. Luckily summer is getting close and its all about sandals and slip-on's.
