Yes, playback from the AUX input or the usb on your computer.

Interesting point. There is a hidden 3rd triangular port behind the grille, above the woofer.
I'll see if I can get a pic of that.

Last weekend I played one of those mythical gigs that no longer exist on TB... no PA support, a boomy, spongy stage, two half stacks and a loud drummer all competing for sonic space. Hell, the place didn’t even have lighting to speak of; in between bands, they’d kick on the overhead fluorescent lighting, then just switch em off when the upcoming band hit their first downbeat. This is how we do DIY hardcore up in here!

The MG800 didn’t break a sweat! I was operating with the input gain around 9:30ish, and the master at roughly 10pmish.

Edit-this deserves to be mentioned. When I say “spongy,” I mean it; the stage was literally water damaged and all sorts of uneven and squishy under foot. Our singer, a doctor, pulled me aside right before we went on and said one of his patients he was currently treating hurt his knee on this very stage!

I wonder if there is something wrong with my MG800 when I read about how low so many guys keep it for gigs. Just jamming in the basement today, and I had the master at noon and the input at almost 10, and it wasn’t exactly blowing the doors down. I was using my Warwick Streamer $$ and I had the input pad off. I feel like I am not getting the volume that some guys do at lower levels.

Not only the output of the bass but your cabs will also determine the knob setting.

Check your cables and your bass...

Active with dead battery? Cable ground not connected? Cord not all the way in...

Any effects?

Turn your amp way down first though ...

You can also test the power amp section by putting audio through the six in... again turn your amp way down first
