Can confirm: The headphones out is realy good!
When you use the headphone jack, do you unplug the speaker? I forgot this was even an option.
Yes, otherwise you will get a signal to the cabinet. I agree, the MG800 is awesome with headphones, too.

Another gig cancellation today. I am now off this whole month. Let’s hope my April shows are still on. Until then...I’m getting a lot of practice time in with my Genzler Magellan 800!
Now you can post some cab combination tests for us that don’t have the great combinations you have and you have a lot of time with them. Would be much appreciated. I’m pretty sure I’m going for the BA 15-3.

So I was playing with some more extreme settings (usually I’m all 12 o’clock with A contour between 9 and 12).
leaving contour alone - I have played with high mids before but this time decided to go the other way...
so on a two pickup bass with both pickups equal - went to boost mids at around 3 o’clock and turned the frequency left to not quite the bottom - say maybe 730-8 o’clock.
Wow! Punches through the mix and gives you that nice feel it in your chest goodness!

The axe used is a LADO 5 string loaded with Bart PJ's (middle bass) ... not a common axe to be sure but the pickup config is.And the axe used please...
Similar results with LADO 2 and LADO 3. # 2 is a 4 string with EMG PJ and #3 is with LADO (Shadow) Humbuckers.
Also with my 6 string Ibanez (I believe they are Barts also).
Commonality amongst all of them is - both pickups selected (which gives a slightly scooped sound) tone always on full.

Interesting. I used the "patented Loring EQ settings" for my last gig before the big shut down. Used my Jazz 5 string (Had been using my PJ for a quite a while before) and the tone simply knocked my doors off. Had me thinking about never putting my Jazz down ever again. Just phenomenal.
Had my buddy filling in on lead guitar for the night and he was just loving the rig and the tone.
One thing that is great about the Magellan is even the “extreme” tones are usable. Love this amp.
